  • I just couldn’t stop taking photos of tulips in London this spring. The day was warm and sunny and the displays in so many gardens just beautiful.

  • Southbank of the Thames opposite / the houses of parliament in Westminster. London, February 1991.

  • A rainbow over a South London house. This was taken this summer during yet another rainy day… at least the sun made a brief enough appearance to get this shot!

  • One of the public statues comprising Antony Gormley’s Event Horizon exhibit in London (they’re gone now!)

  • One of my favorite photos that I have framed in my living room featuring a view from the south bank of the Thames River in London. This shows one of London’s most well known bridges, Tower Bridge. Although it appears ancient, this bridge is artwork itself. Built in the Victorian era, it is a drawbridge and pedestrian walkway that is a miracle of engineering. The stone facade mimics the nearby Tower of London.

  • London, UK I usually walk along the south bank riverside in London.. and l passed by this place maybe a thousand times ! This time for some reason l was walking very slowly.. once I got here l just thought this could be the moment to take a nice picture.. I am happy with the result ! / / - / Click to view

  • Another view of perhaps another unnoticed part of the south bank in London.. or at least unnoticed for me until few days ago.. I like the view from here and the perspective and composition do for me !

  • Image straight from the camera. Taken on January 11, 2009 with an Olympus FE-340 It was the first day of the year that the weather in London was beautiful so I spent the day outdoor walking through the parks, and the squirrels are very friendly. This particular shot was in Green Park. While I was trying to set-up my camera to take a photo, this little guy suddenly climbed up my leg! (I missed the opportunity to take its picture while it was there) I looked down at it, and it looks to the side as though saying “I didn’t do anything…” (see image in first comment), then it runs behind me and tries to climb up my knapsack; then runs in front me, spirals up the pole and pokes its head to the side going “Peek-a-boo!” After it climbed down I brought my hand out. It grabbed my finger for a little while, but took off before I could get a picture then :-( ... But atleast I captured the funny Peek-a-boo moment! The light and dark areas in the eye may look like the iris and the sclera of the eye, but that is actually caused by reflections; The dark bit at the bottom left corner of the eye is a reflection of myself with the camera:

  • London 2009, Capital city of England ! View from the Tower Bridge !

  • Taken on February 28, 2009 with an Olympus FE-340. I know, there are probably many images of the Gherkin here already. But for myself who is not British, it was really exciting to get close to it. London is rich in history, but meanwhile you can also see a lot of modern architecture being developed and taking over; and we’re also moving towards building up, so our tall skyscrapers over shadow history in place and time. Here the Gherkin already looks much taller than the old buidlings in front. But for a better idea of scale (sound familiar? :P)... As you can see, one glass diamond is already about the height of a person.

  • London, UK / I find very relaxing a nice walk along the southbank in a summer evening.. and I used to do it often ! At the end of it after the Tower Bridge, near Bermondsey, I found myself in front of this lovely scene !

  • London, View from the balcony of my friend’s flat Tosin in Stockwell, South London ! I have enjoyed so many weekends at my friend’s place for the last few years, listening music, watching videos or movies or having interesting conversation! / I love the view from his balcony with the famous Power Station on the background. / I remember when, one night, we were looking at the many buildings and windows and wondering how many people and stories were going on in that moment while we were enjoing a nice Rum and Coke!

  • London, November 20003 ! taken with F75 28-100mm

  • London, UK
