Arrested Expansion is a symbolic scene that depicts a combination of self-excluding objects that might not be present in real life. Objects in the secluded room make the viewer feel claustrophobic and unreal, which might be compared to someone’s mental delusion based on a medical condition. Image is a mixture of photo stock with some 2D vectors, and 3D objects. Photoshop, 3ds max, Illustrator. / The most common cause of cardiac arrest is a heart rhythm disorder or arrhythmia called ventricular fibrillation (VF). The heart has a built-in electrical system. When a contraction happens, blood is pumped. But in ventricular fibrillation, the electrical signals that control the pumping of the heart suddenly become rapid and chaotic. As a result, the lower chambers of the heart, the ventricles, begin to quiver (fibrillate) instead of contract, and they can no longer pump blood from the heart to the rest of the body. If blood cannot flow to the brain, it becomes starved of oxygen, and the person loses consciousness in seconds. Winner of the Surreal Phare Design Competition ~ Sadly now forgotten.. Yes its French, it ended up on a French beach in the Languedoc-Roussillon area, / the Government lost its nerve at the last moment and tried to hide it in the most remote part of France.. These days its quite a headache for the local council, they are sick of cleaning the linen covering and washing off the graffiti..

IT WAS SO COLD AND TOURISTS HAD NO WHERE TO GO BUT USING THE WOODEN PLATFORM WALKWAYS. IT WAS REALLY SURREAL. THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN THE AFTERNOON WHEN ALOT OF THE TOURISTS HAD GONE. /

Best Viewed Large One of the most striking aspects of Venice, Italy, apart from the glorious cathedrals, famous bridges and other magnificent and historic structures … are the intriguing dwellings lining the canals. The romance and mystery reach out and grab the imagination by the heart … some of us leave our hearts there … hoping someday to return!! Image taken in July of 2005 with the hand held Olympus C-5000 zoom point and shoot. Post processing included some Photoshop tinkering and a trip to Photomatix for hdr with a single image, eval +/- 2. I subsequently put the image into Corel Paint 11 for some brushstroke work on the flowers.

According to tradition, Sestri Levante was founded by the Ligurian tribe of the “Tigullii” and it was already known in the Roman Age under the name “Segesta Tigulliorum”. The ancient core of the town developed in the Middle Ages in a fortified position on the “island”. After the 15th century, the town expanded onto the alluvial plain south of the Gromolo river. Sestri Levante then became part of the Fieschi family’s domain, until it passed under the flags of the Republic of Genoa, which built the castle on the “island” and kept control of the town until the Napoleonic conquest.

It is a very old site, once occupied by a small temple dedicated to the worship of the Fates, as recorded in the rare 3rd century epigraph (walled under the northern portico of the castle). Its original religious function was soon replaced by a military function, given its strategic position. In the 13th century the castle passed from the hands of the lords of Toblino into those of the lords of Campo, who owned the castle bearing the same name in the Giudicarie (Castel Campo). Later on, the castle fell into the hands of the church of Trento (1495) and the Cardinal Bernardo Clesio had the place restored and rebuilt (1536-1537) on Renaissance lines, to become a lord´s residence: it was decorated by some of the artists working at the Magno Palazzo of the Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento. The prevailing 16th century elements are due to the subsequent transformations (courtyard portico and loggia, round arches) ordered by Gian Gaudenzio Madruzzo. All that remains of the Medieval castle layout are the wall to the west, a turret to the north-west of the present enclosure and the 20 meter high cylindrical tower, which may be considered a keep, strengthening the fortifications closing the summit of the fortified rock. Lake of Toblino This valley bottom lake has marsh vegetation (in particular ) and lacustrine (a few samples of “lamineto” of the ninfea gialla type); At certain points of the shore there are willow groves.
