  • Red girl, saw you looking. / Wall paper.

  • Staring into the black, she said nothing… just continued to stare….

  • The first time I saw her, I knew we would be friends. / She didn’t say much, but that was okay. We had more than words. / As we sat there quietly, she gazed into the nothingness, while I gazed longingly at her. Wondering what was happening behind those eyes.

  • Her skin was so pale, I knew she hadn’t seen the sun in a long time. / I tried to encourage her to come out and play… but she knew it was better if she just stayed indoors, away from the other children. / I tried to insist that she come outside with me, but she wouldn’t come. / I knew the stories I had heard about her weren’t true… but did anyone else?

  • Lily loves birds, but you already guessed that, right? These are three of her darling bluebird friends, helping her with her hair. Actually two of them are helping and one is having a little rest (lazy bugger). ..................................♥ the fine print ♥…................................ • I was exploring different ways of keeping the focus on the centre of the page and ended up with this little sweetheart. She’s a flirty little milk maid who’s dripping off the page. I adore her sultry look and pouty lips. The original was illustrated on recycled cardboard with pencil, charcoal and ink. Enjoy! xxx scarlett

  • Interior of Saint Chappelle, Paris, France, September 2007.

  • This treasure from the Musee de Louvre in Paris France was captured in September 2007.

  • Curious little Fox looking out into the world. This is an ink drawing that I made. I then coloured it digitally.

  • He is just such a cutie! This is Jake. We have had him for 2.5 months. He is a year and a half old. We found him in an ad and he was in dire need of a new owner. He had never been to the vet and his owner got sick so he had lived in his kennel for his whole life. (Really bad excuse, I know) I about started to cry the first day when I saw how timid and scared he was. I have a very happy Boston Terrier already so to see the difference, it just kills me. We are not going to keep him as 4 dogs are way too much for us, but we wanted to do our part and help rehabilitate and train him so he can find a good home. He has learned so much already in the first week alone which includes his name, going to the door to go outside, and how to go down our very steep stairs lol. Now we just have to work on the marking issue…........He is doing so well so far! Thanks for looking! UPDATE ON JAKE!! We found a home for him. He came a long ways in four months AND we found the perfect home for him. He was scared of men and so the first couple that came to see him got scared away. A lady actually came up to my table at Petco and asked about the Bostons in my portfolio and I told her one was mine and one is a foster child. She asked where she could sign up. To make the long story short, no men lived in the house and she already had 3 bostons. She understood this breed already so that was wonderful. A perfect ending=) “Jake” has been featured in the group Cats and Dogs – 1 per day

  • This is what Mr. Anderson has to do to keep his muscular physique. lol! No really, I figured out that this is what he has to do to get up from laying on his side. He did the same thing twice! lol! Its so funny and I was able to capture it in a photo! Enjoy! Taken with a Canon XTi DSLR camera. “Sidebends!” was featured in the group Cats and Dogs – 1 per day / December 12, 2008 “Sidebends!” was featured in the group Funny Kritters”

  • This is beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico, which we visited for the first time in 2007. We spent many hours on this secluded beach in front of the hotel property; it was absolute bliss. And we weren’t the only ones enjoying the scene either! This seabird seemed just as mesmerized by the magic. I named this particular image ‘Soaring’ because this image keeps reminding me of a piano piece I used to play, written by Robert Schumann; title of the piece is Aufschwung, which means ‘soaring’ in German. Be sure to check out the complete Beach Bliss series. +-Soaring, Los Cabos, Mexico Don’t forget to visit my Etsy store at / http://photopia.etsy.com Follow me on Twitter for announcements at http://twitter.com/moderatefanatic

  • Ive been told that this looks like something from a fairytale and I think I have to agree! This is the power house to Bolt Castle in Alexandria Bay, NY. This was taken with my Canon Rebel Xti. This came from 5 exposures at 0 EV, 1.00 EV, and -1.00 EV, 2.00 EV, and -2.00 EV. There is a love story that goes along with this castle, so read on if you like a good love story….. At the turn-of-the-century, George C. Boldt, millionaire proprietor of the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, set out to build a full size rhineland castle in Alexandria Bay, on picturesque Heart Island. The grandiose structure was to be a display of his love for his wife, Louise. Beginning in 1900, Boldt’s family shared four glorious summers on the island in the Alster Tower while 300 workers including stonemasons, carpenters, and artists fashioned the six story, 120 room castle, complete with tunnels, a powerhouse, Italian gardens, a drawbridge, and a dove cote. Not a single detail or expense was spared. In 1904, tragedy struck. Boldt telegraphed the island and commanded the workers to immediately “stop all construction.” Louise had died suddenly. A broken hearted Boldt could not imagine his dream castle without his beloved. Boldt never returned to the island, leaving behind the structure as a monument of his love. For 73 years, the castle and various stone structures were left to the mercy of the wind, rain, ice, snow and vandals. When the Thousand Islands Bridge Authority acquired the property in 1977, it was decided that through the use of all net revenues from the castle operation it would be preserved for the enjoyment of future generations. Since 1977, several million dollars have been applied to rehabilitating, restoring and improving the Heart Island structures. http://www.boldtcastle.com/history.html

  • Cherry Blossoms remind me of cotton candy. Whisper pink petals drift from the branches in the wind. In the spring these flowers can be found all over the Washington Basin. I took this photo and altered it using Florabella textures and overlays.

  • These flowers were growing at a State Park in Virginia. They seem to be smiling up at the sunshine. I took the picture and then added overlays and textures to give it a more dreamy vintage look.

  • I love the dreaminess of this print created by a photo I took of this butterfly and edited or a dream like ethereal quality. Soft blurry effect makes this photo a beautiful piece of art suitable for framing.

  • This is my pup, Mr. Anderson. We went to my friends house today and she lives on the Black River in Watertown, NY. I thought this would be cute to do and I love the results! This is an HDR photo of 3 photos. 0EV, +1EV, and -1EV. This was taken with my Canon Rebel Xti. Dynamic-Photo HDR is the editing program used.

  • I took this at a visitors center in Nauvoo Illinios. Taken with my Canon Rebel Xti.
