I was exploring different ways of keeping the focus on the centre of the page and ended up with this little sweetheart. She’s a flirty little milk maid who’s dripping off the page. I adore her sultry look and pouty lips. The original was illustrated on recycled cardboard with pencil, charcoal and ink. Enjoy! xxx scarlett

This is beautiful Los Cabos, Mexico, which we visited for the first time in 2007. We spent many hours on this secluded beach in front of the hotel property; it was absolute bliss. And we weren’t the only ones enjoying the scene either! This seabird seemed just as mesmerized by the magic. I named this particular image ‘Soaring’ because this image keeps reminding me of a piano piece I used to play, written by Robert Schumann; title of the piece is Aufschwung, which means ‘soaring’ in German. Does anyone here use Etsy? I’ve recently become interested…ok, obsessed….ok, addicted…to the site and trying to promote myself on there. there are relatively few photographers and I made a sale within a week and a half. I decided to sell my art printed on halide paper – a metallic/pearlescent look. So far I’ve concentrated my theme (with one exception) to my closeups of nature. For a while I intend to keep it that way – at least until I run out of that kind of art. So, if you like my work but don’t like being confined to the options on RB, or just want to buy straight from the artist (myself), check out my Etsy shop! If there’s an image here which I also sell on Etsy, I have a link on the RB image so you can get there straightaway. I’d also love to hear from anyone who has an Etsy shop – so I can HEART you. :) And if you have an Etsy shop, this is the place to promote yourself too!

They are 2.5 by 3.5 collectible cards chocked full of original handmade one-of-a-kind artwork. I finished my first set yesterday! :D (Violet gave me the idea!)
