  • Beauty is Eternally Free / Hamoa Beach Maui Hawai’i I picked some fresh Plumeria blossoms and a branch of blooming Bougainvillea and tossed them onto the luxurious black sand of Hamoa Beach and was only able to get a couple of shots when a wave came in and carried them out to sea. Copyright © Sharon Mau 2009 / All Rights Reserved “Hidden behind the veil of mystery, / Beauty is eternally free from the slightest stain of imperfection. From the atoms of the world, / He created a multitude of mirrors; / into each one of them / He cast the image of His Face; / To the awakened eye, / anything that appears beautiful is only a reflection of that Face. / Now that you have seen the reflection, hurry to its Source; / In that primordial Light the reflection vanishes completely. Do not linger far from that primal Source; / When the reflection fades, you will be lost in darkness. / The reflection is as transient as the smile of a rose; / If you want permanence, / turn towards the Source; / If you want fidelity, / look to the Mine of faithfulness. / Why tear your soul apart over something here one moment / and gone the next?” ~ by Jami ~ Translation by Andrew Harvey and Eryk Hanut Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi

  • A new digital painting that shows Anubis preparing a pharaoh for the Afterlife. Various symbols from Egyptian mythology and culture are strategically placed within this colourful piece to reveal secret meanings. The work was created as a tribute to the great contribution this powerful and ancient culture has made to the World. ~ Skye “Anubis is the Greek name for a jackal-headed god associated with mummification and the afterlife in Egyptian mythology. In the ancient Egyptian language, Anubis is known as Inpu, (variously spelled Anupu). The oldest known mention of Anubis is in the Old Kingdom pyramid texts, where he is associated with the burial of the king. At this time, Anubis was the most important god of the Dead but he was replaced during the Middle Kingdom by Osiris.” (Info Source: Wikipedia)

  • This painting means the most to me out of alllll the ones l’ve ever done, l began this whilst going to AA meetings for 12 months whilst getting my life back on track. Now l gotta say l don’t think l am an alcaholic it just took to much control of me & l needed to grab my head back, many major disasters happened in that 12 months (our home was completely robbed by friends) l got shafted of 7 thousand dollars in wages (fought won they went bankrupted l got none) my eldest was getting bashed often at high school by the friends that robbed us (twice in an ambulance) So as l hope you can see & feel in this piece that there is ALOT of passion, alot of determintion, alot of tears & ALOT of hope. And we DID get thru it all. This painting also began around the same time as l first accidently discovered this AMAZING outlet of hope & inspiration, redbubble. l have just recently created a ‘digital’ version of this piece it’s called Flipz colour wheel & it’s to thank all my wonderful friends here for all the hope & inspiration to get thru my recent Cancer journey & thru the suicide of my mum. Colour IS my emotion it IS my Soul it does effect me greatly emotionally it just doesn’t seem to matter what emotions what tragedies what great fortunes you are going thru there is a Colour to describe it colours to express it. Expression so underestimated in the importance to ones Spirit & Soul No matter how black / there’ll ALWAYS be Colour XXXXXXXXX Acrylic on old ply board ‘sought of’ 3mtrs x 3mtrs found in hubbies garage / Connected in our own individual way ahhh so many Treasures to be found XXXXXX

  • I’ve been learning how to draw celtic knots for about 6 months now and, with the help of a graphics tablet, can now get them on the bubble. The knots are designed on paper and then traced into Photoshop and given some life. / Hopefully this is one of a series…. / I wanted them to go onto my family tree – my great grandparents were Irish on one side and Scottish on the other.

  • Made in Ultra Fractal 5. As beautiful as a White Christmas can be, the magic starts to wear off as the months drag on and on. Winter, here in Montana, doesn’t end until the snow finally has melted off at the beginning of June. That gives us about 2 weeks of Spring before the summer heat hits. 12/22/09 – Featured in the BITS AND PIECES Group.

  • Collaboration with the beautiful in all ways Linaji Self portrait detailed with other images. WAitIng I made a choice one-day to wait. / I felt a part of me slip into neutral / And coast just to see, Just to see / Cause there is parts of me not / Yet found / And parts of me that need some tending to I have become aware of crashing waves of joy and love / I had never before believed existed / These feelings of freedom in heart / Seem pent up in people / But I think really it is the expanding / Parts of me that are growing like / Weeds in a field of hope / Uncontained / And yet / Here I reside in a place where I too / See a story that says this is how life should be: / Contained and divided. So I wait / For a sign from my own feelings / I may be late / I may be early / I may be right / I may be wrong But I have never known a time like this in my / Life, / Where I can turn ever so slightly from one moment to the next / And experience profound joy and exchange / With others whom I seem to be attracting into my life. I am bonded to this moment, / Where my heart leads me to my destiny / And my destiny has many destinations / So perhaps my destiny / Is Now. That is why I wait for a sign / Leading me in the general direction / Called Eternity. Linaji 2009

  • This Lilac was protected by it’s heart shaped leaves. There is an old hymn, “Rock of ages, cleft for me, let me hide my self in thee”. Our lives are hidden in Christ, where NO one can touch us! Safe! For eternity…. Can you fathom that wonderful news? He did it all for us, so we are safe in Him… no matter what! Hallelujah, what a Savior!! / /

  • So many of use this phrase, in cards we give to our loved ones. I was reminded of that, a while ago, and thought I would put it on a card. And Roses seem to be such a “symbol” of LOVE, what better flower to use? :) /
