This is my favourite tree, a wind battered willow tree located on the banks of the River Stour between Flatford and Dedham in England, UK. This was taken about an hour after sunrise, just as the early morning mist was starting to burn off. Signed giclee art prints available at www.henroben.co.uk

This is my image Across the Lake, that a very special lady Julie Langford has worked her magic on. Thank you Julie I think it’s beautiful
This is “As Is” / straight from the camera. Taken with my Canon PowerShot A570 IS, on auto setting, no flash, just natural light from a north facing window
Over Christmas I decided to take a break from sitting around in front of the TV and stuffing my face with chocolate / nuts / dates etc, and ventured down to the seafront at Dovercourt, Essex to try and capture one of the lighthouses there. It was cold – the windchill meant the temperature was hovering around the -2 mark. Oh, how I envy our Antipodean cousins…! 1 shot HDR processed in Photomatix Pro, 20 sec shutter, 14mm, f22, ISO 100, ND8 neutral and ND4 grad filters. And a warm scarf. The two Dovercourt lighthouses are the most prominent features of the seafront. Erected by Trinity House in 1863, they were used until 1917, guiding ships around Landguard Point with their powerful gas lamps. See more of my work at Dan Biggins Photography.

Mersea Island, the most Easterly populated island in the UK, may not be renowned as a photogenic location, but, standing here at East Mersea, with the gently flowing seawater lapping against the tops of the wellies, with the line of posts so obligingly composed, and with the glorious colours spreading across the late afternoon sky, it was possible for a moment or two to believe that this was the most beautiful place on Earth. Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens. Exposure of 30 seconds at f/13.

Headed out especially early this morning … up to the woods … to the deer sanctuary to be specific … ... well … you know, nothing in life is ever guaranteed!! ... Saw some deer – in the distance ... !! / Chuckles / Eventually we decided to walk … open ourselves up to the world of possibilities. Would have it that today was the day for many a mushroom to break into the light of day and make his appearance in the world of Epping Forest. It was truly quite incredible!! I saw mushrooms today that I never before knew existed as a species ;) / :) / Out of all the ‘shroom-shots, I just love this little “village” :) 04 October 2009 Canon EOS 450D / Focal length:65 mm / Exposure:1/10 at f/9 / ISO speed:ISO 400
