  • Aphrodite and her son Eros, Goddess and God of Love. Muse, tell me the deeds of golden Aphrodite the Cyprian, who stirs up sweet passion in the gods and subdues the tribes of mortal men and birds that fly in air and all the many creatures that the dry land rears, and all that the sea: all these love the deeds of rich-crowned Cytherea. / —Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite 5.1–5 More Olympians / / / /

  • A variation on the Eros and Psyche myth. / Sold one framed print to a redbubble member.

  • Mixed medium illustration. Photograph of the closed off opening posture of a gesturing anonymous woman with Asian motifs.

  • The Statue of Eros in Picadilly Circus, London. It’s a challenge shooting around the tourists congregating there to take photos of themselves at/near/under it, hence the rather extreme tilt! Oh, and a Happy Valentines Day 8)

  • All romantic love is based on self-love, for it is in the eyes of our beloved that we see our ideal self reflected…. and THAT is what utterly captivates us… / Available as a VALENTINE’S DAY card!!! / (what better way to tell your lover that they are a selfish irresponsible louse?!) This is a manipulation of a self portrait by flickr user “Mon Shari” / Original Photo link

  • This little girl captured my attention, she stood out from the crowd with her bright pink clothes, so i’ve chosen to use selective colour to show you how i saw her. / She’s playing by the Eros fountain in Piccaddilly Circus, London. This place always reminds me of An American Warewolf in London, as the final scenes were shot here- the theatre in the background was used too. Funnily enough, the opening scenes of the film are actually filmed quite close to where i live in Wales :)

  • Italian Singer: Eros Ramazzotti

  • Close up portrait of couple. Photo based illustration.

  • A moment in Picadilly Circus, London

  • It was not the statue which took my eye, but the people hanging around. I had expected a spot in the centre of a street crossing with cars zipping all directions while Eros stood supreme, and aloof over all around. There waere no traffic lights, just a lazy air ti what to do.

  • Acrilyc on Canvases, 60×80cm, rusty wire / best viewed large

  • Per tutti quelli che possono dire di essere stati presenti a Montepulciano durante le riprese di New Moon!!

  • “Either take away, O Eros, a wish for love, or let me be loved! Take away all desire, or satisfy it ” – Lucillius Watercolour/Pen/Ink 210×290

  • Watercolour/Pen/Pencil 210×290 The goddess Venus was jealous of the beauty a mere mortal, Psyche. Venus formed a plan to have her son Cupid strike Psyche with an arrow, so that she would fall in love with the most horrendous man on earth. Cupid fell for this mere mortal Psyche. She was so beautiful that no mortal would marry her. Her parents consulted an Oracle, who told them to leave her on the nearest mountain, since she was not meant for mortals. Cupid became her “husband” by night alone, if you know what I mean. She was never allowed to see his face. Long story short, her sisters were jealous, they set her up, she pricked herself with Cupid’s arrow, and fell in love with him without seeing his face … and awakened him just as she was about to get a quick peak. Psyche tricked her sisters and basically killed them, the she was tricked herself by Venus to go to the underworld to perform incredible tasks and fell into a deep sleep. Cupid kisses her awake, marries her and Psyche gives birth to his daughter Voluptas whose name translates as Bliss or Pleasure.
