The Statue of Eros in Picadilly Circus, London. It’s a challenge shooting around the tourists congregating there to take photos of themselves at/near/under it, hence the rather extreme tilt! Oh, and a Happy Valentines Day 8)

This little girl captured my attention, she stood out from the crowd with her bright pink clothes, so i’ve chosen to use selective colour to show you how i saw her. / She’s playing by the Eros fountain in Piccaddilly Circus, London. This place always reminds me of An American Warewolf in London, as the final scenes were shot here- the theatre in the background was used too. Funnily enough, the opening scenes of the film are actually filmed quite close to where i live in Wales :)

It was not the statue which took my eye, but the people hanging around. I had expected a spot in the centre of a street crossing with cars zipping all directions while Eros stood supreme, and aloof over all around. There waere no traffic lights, just a lazy air ti what to do.

ACEO, 2.5×3.5 inches, watercolour and gouache, 2008. In early greek mythology Eros was the god of lust and love, especially love between men. Later his role changed to that of being an attendant of his mother, Aphrodite, and directing love into mortals.
