  • I like the designs of the Art Deco era and was inspired to produce a painting featuring 1920’s fashion. There is also a slight influence of the 1930’s British ceramic artist Clarice Cliff…I refer to the tree shape. I had to think very carefully when I painted snowflakes…because I was scared stiff I would ruin it with big white blobs. I suppose we all learn something from ecah picture we paint.

  • Yes, they are my feet and I’m relaxing on the beach watching the kids play in the water. I gave this image some texture and it reminds me of a very lazy, Aussie summer’s day at the beach.

  • featured in “history” group Two buildings in Market St, Melbourne. One old, the other newer. I liked the contrast between the two and the sun trying to peek through. I hope you like it :) /

  • Shot by the wonderful / Inspired by Gil Elvgren Pinups / if you like it.. buy it!! / more to come xx

  • This is an image from the cover of my 2007 calendar which will most likely be the last. I created Pumped Up Down Under in 1989 and in the years since it has been distributed world wide and gained a strong following with both men and women. Whilst it is sad to see it go I believe it’s passing will inspire me to venture into new avenues with my photography. I am really passionate about running workshops pertaining to images such as these. I have set up a group to promote and feature these workshops. / Empowered Beauty / Also please visit my personal website www.leapoffaith.com.au

  • This is another shot from my calendar series. Along with the other model from the End of Era series this model is the most popular I have ever had. I love the strength in her body aswell as the calm and peace in her eyes. On both counts she portays empowerment to me. I am really passionate about running workshops pertaining to images such as these. • This exquisite creature is Lola Lamour, a beautiful woman who sings wartime favorites all over the country. She also starred on the T.V programme Time Warp Housewives focusing on women and couples who live their lives completely in the past. Lola is a lady whose passion includes living, dressing and cooking anything from the fifties with a healthy sprinkling of the forties at events. This image was taken at the Ramsey 1940’s Weekend…...Fantastic event!!

  • Featured on RedBubble Homepage in October 2008 These wagons of by-gone days were the work-horse of the farm on the prairies. Pulled originally by horses they were used for hauling grain from the old theshing machines in the 20s and 30s. This was laid to rest many years ago behind a hedge of manchurian elm bushes on a farm north and west of Pambrun, Saskatchewan. /

  • Combination one room school house, church, community building, and town hall. These structures are scattered through out the Ozark Mountains, and the foothills of Arkansas. Sooooooo…... These types of scenes are very familiar to me, living here in the good ol’ natural state. My very first years of school began in a one room school house almost identical to this one, and it is now long gone.. When I look at this photograph, I can still see us all running, and playing in the school yard, and hear all of our laughter, and screaming. All the sounds of the children playing, as we went along in our merry, carefree younger days. I remember…........

  • There are many fine old buildings in Newcastle dating back to the mid to late 1800’s. This is just a few of them made into a Digital Montage.

  • It was a cold, chilly winter day when the “E” train pulled into the station, as it has for almost a century . Arriving passengers were greeted by a ghost who silently raised his hat as the train passed by. As soon as the train came to rest, the ghost vanished just like he has in years passed. Many locals suggest that the good ghost wards off the evil onboard this train. Paranormal? I’d say so. / Try viewing image in large! Multiple images were used to create this image, which was created via multiple layers, some selective coloring, dodge & burn technique as well as the Redfield Fractalius filter was applied. Images were taken with both the Nikon D200 & D300. My art with 1000+ views

  • Acrylic On Canvas A piece that was inspired about watching Wong Kar Wai’s film In The Mood For Love, set in 60s Hong Kong. A story about forbidden love and in the story, the female and male leads shared some special moments in room 2046 – writing martial novels :D The chinese title of this movie is Hua Yang Nian Hua. The Chinese title, Huayang Nianhua (translated in the subtitles as “Full Bloom” but more accurately meaning “those wonderful varied years”), is more suggestive of period nostalgia and the Shanghai association, pointing to an iridescent, kaleidoscopic age of bygone elegance and diversity. / You can view and purchase my other “Hua Yang Nian Hua” creations from my Zazzle Gallery: / /

  • Well he wouldn’t wear polka dots, or put dye in his hair, and he certainly wouldn’t make rap music to put in a movie with a bunch of turtles! Thats for sure!

  • Gasparilla Island is another of the barrier islands on the lower Gulf Coast of Florida. It is most famous as the city of Boca Grande, playground to presidents, corporate magnates and plain ole rich folk. The island’s modern history began to develop in the late 1800’s with it’s use as a deep water port for the export of phosphate, dug from nearby inland areas of Florida.Traces of the era bygone can still be found in the residual of the concrete pilings from the old shipping pier at the southernmost point of the island, near the lighthouse that used to guide ships into the port. / canon 5D mark ll / canon 40mm / CP Filter / f/9 /
