  • There is a funny story to go with this one and a confession that I probably shouldn’t give if I want any of you to believe that I actually have a smidgen of good sense:). I was shooting at Ten Oaks on a warmer morning when the horses weren’t as active or cooperative about giving me good shots. There are three different paths and trails that the horses take to what I call the upper pasture. I’ve always thought that this would be a great place to get a lovely shot. It’s the middle path and the one they usually come through. So, I go up there and position myself for the perfect shot and I wait..and wait…and wait. Finally, I start making noise: whistling, kissing, clapping my hands, even blowing like a horse….and nothing. So, I wait and I make noise and I wait. Then I happen to look away from the perfect shot and up to the top of the hill where the other pathway is and standing there are at least ten of the horses all craning their necks and peering at me over the crest of the hill. They were giving me that quizzical look as if thinking, what’s wrong with her….I don’t know…you go see…I’m not going…she’s looney…:) Like I said, I shouldn’t have ever admitted this to anyone much less the world here on redbubble..lol. /
