This image was created in photoshop. The light is central to this piece. The oppressed workers add chaos and horror to the calmness and sernity of the warm light.
Taken at Norah Head, two hours north of Sydney on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Beautiful little place =) the lighthouse there is too cute.

my pencil (on bristol board) rendition of Marco Hietala, bass guitar/vocals of Nightwish he is awesome at the guitar, but his voice is so freaking awesome… click here to watch him now I have a huge respect for all you portrait artists, this was my third attempt at drawing him and lets just say it was super difficult for me to even get this close haha : ) Let me know what you think! “Did you ever hear what I told you? / Did you ever read what I wrote you? / Did you ever listen to what we played? / Did you ever let in what the world said? / Did we get this far just to feel your hate? / Did we play to become only pawns in the game? / How blind can you be, don’t you see?” / You chose the long road, but we’ll be waiting” Bye bye, beautiful…” Bye Bye Beautiful by Nightwish
I’m sure we’ve all had this happen at least once. Truely an Epic Fail. Now showing Epic Fail version 2.0!
Fort Amherst is located at the entrance of St. John’s Harbor opposite Signal Hill across the Narrows’. The Fort was built in the 1770’s to defend the entrance of the Narrows’. Gun placements were used at The Fort during WWII to protect the harbor from German U-boats. In 1813 a lighthouse was built at Fort Amherst and was to be the first permanent lighthouse established in Newfoundland. It operated until 1835 but was then replaced by a new structure in 1852, which was demolished in the early 1950’s to make way for the new lighthouse which is seen today. / More in this series / / / / / / / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

John Eldredge. The Way Of The Wild Heart. When the war in Iraq broke out, two young men I know – in the same week, in entirely separate conversations – said to me, “I feel I ought to be there.” Neither is from a military background, neither is headed for the military. Yet there is something in the heart of a young man that says, “Give me a cause. I am supposed to fight.” He is made for battle, and he must be given a Christianity that includes a great battle. The battle to behave yourself – the Christianity of “just don’t do anything bad” – will not suffice, I assure you. Minding your manners needs no Warriors. The young man becoming a Warrior needs a bigger story. I remember Larry Crabb saying the one thing that impressed him as a boy was that his father loved something and Someone more than he loved anything else, even his family. It was not a form of rejection, for the boy knew he was loved. It was a mystery and an invitation to discover what that Something was all about. I’ve explained what I believe to be the Epic God is calling us to in other places, so I won’t go into that here. Whatever their age, use the stories young men love to make the connection. The Lion King, The Lord of the Rings, the Star Wars films, all borrow from the gospel. As do Braveheart, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven.
Heavily Photoshopped, sepia, portrait. An exercise in movement.

Digital Painting – based on a fractal done in FraxPlorer. work done in PSP and ArtRage. Alberich was a legendary sorcerer who originated in the mythology or epic sagas of the Frankish Merovingian Dynasty of the 5th to 8th century AD, and whose name means king of the elves (elbe “elves” reix, rex “king”), who possessed the ability to become invisible. He was also known as king of the dwarves… from Wikipedia

I created this cyborg bee for my Eros project I remember at the time I was listening to Tori Amos’ Beekeeper album, it’s where I got the idea to depict Eros attacked by bees in the first place. Since then, it’s one of my favorite artworks I’ve ever done. It was created entirely in Photoshop, all textures and shadows included.
