Natural sand pattern left by receding wave on a steep sloping beach. Five Mile Beach, Wilsons Promontory National Park, Victoria, Australia. Contrast enhancement only. Resemblance to a primordial forest with primitive type trees is fascinating. Patterns are renewed with each incoming wave and tricky to capture at the best moment before the next wave wipes it over and drains out again. Each ‘picture’ only lasts a few seconds. Acrylic on canvas i could have played around with this forever but the sun shone in the afternoon in Scotland today, signalling a decent photo-oppurtunity and the glorious words ‘it is finished’ – the shining of the sun here today caused the death of fifty Scots by sunstroke, many more are recieving treatment for shock
A few months ago I had a very strange experience with hot wax. I had wanted to use the wax with ice for some reason and this thought had continued to follow me until yesterday when my garden was covered with snow. I already had prepared ice in different colours in my freezer. I asked my very dear friend John to come over and help me in my experiment. I took the snow and started building layers. I added different colours of pigment, acrylics, graphite, inks and ice. The results you can judge for yourself. All I know is that I had great pleasure producing the picture that John recorded photographically yesterday. I really like the way that the environment blends translucently with our own human existence and forms a bond, be it only momentary. / In the 80’s while travelling in the Philippines I was very fortunate to meet Roberto Villanueva – who was a remarkably interesting gentleman. His work and ideas have come to fruition and have made complete sense to me over the last few weeks. A journey I needed to explore and discover for myself. I hope that you enjoy the work I will be uploading and want to add a special thank you to John – Pryere – for his understanding, patience and tolerance in taking photographs in temperatures below 0. What we do for the love of art and creativity. A transient moment that is here today and gone tomorrow. A photographic image is the only remains of its existence. I dedicate this whole series to – Roberto Villanueva, a man proud of his cultural background, and full of passion for his traditions and beliefs. He too believed in the power of Spirit. His Ephemeral Installations are wonderful examples of this. Music – Sitti Navarro 4th February 2009
Fire & Ice – Ephemeral Collection II – Please view our new video – We hope you’ll enjoy it…..... John Pryere and I have been having lots of fun working on our second series of Ephemeral Work which we are calling Fire & Ice. It takes a great deal of time and patience, which is John’s department as he has produced a time lapse recording of the work presented and when we are both happy with the video John will be uploading it on You Tube, for you all to see. Thanking everyone for their support and interest. John Pryere – and Sophie Shapiro February 14th 2009
I am the blossom pressed in a book, / found again after two hundred years. . . . I am the maker, the lover, and the keeper. . . . When the young girl who starves / sits down to a table / she will sit beside me. . . . I am food on the prisoner’s plate. . . . I am water rushing to the wellhead, / filling the pitcher until it spills. . . . I am the patient gardener / of the dry and weedy garden. . . . I am the stone step, / the latch, and the working hinge. . . . I am the heart contracted by joy. . . / the longest hair, white / before the rest. . . . I am there in the basket of fruit / presented to the widow. . . . I am the musk rose opening / unattended, the fern on the boggy summit. . . . I am the one whose love / overcomes you, already with you / when you think to call my name. . . . Poem by Jane Kenyon Music – Pavane, Op. 50 This collection is dedicated to all the people that we should remember….Take the time to think of them, today, now, before their departure no longer permits interactions. 20th February 2009

All profits from the sale of this image will be donated to The Bushfire Appeal. There is no magic any more, / We meet as other people do, / You work no miracle for me / Nor I for you. You were the wind and I the sea - / There is no splendor any more, / I have grown listless as the pool / Beside the shore. But though the pool is safe from storm / And from the tide has found surcease, / It grows more bitter than the sea, / For all its peace. Words by Sara Teasdale Music – Mark Salona Painting on white board using acrylic inks, graphite, gold/varied pigment….This belongs to a New Ephemeral Collection Called A Day In My Life…. Painted with My Spirit Guides 24th February 2009
According to Indigenous Culture, The Soul is made up of three parts. This ephemeral painting relates to the first…The Ego Soul whose Spirit is bound to the material planes of life involving relationships, responsibilities and pleasure. There are times when many people strive to maintain an earthly illusion of permanency and forget that our stay in but brief. I intend to do all healing paintings for individual people using this technique. I have been thinking about the best way to do this and also how to convey what Spirit wishes to make known to each individual. The contents of the ephemeral painting are really for the individual to decipher, however I can assist should the need arise. From now on all painting will be numbered. The message in this work is that you should connect to that wonderful inner child you have hidden and utilise the intuitive aspects she would like to express. There is a very strong feeling of childlike openness filled with great compassion. I would be very happy to receive this wonderful painting from my Spirit Guides. It would make me happy. You can attain what you need and there is great support in difficult times. An example of this is this painting and Spirit guiding me to paint one for you. Help and guidance reaches you through intuition and love, recognise this and enjoy it. Significant number is 20 – Have faith in life’s Divine mission – You are ready for it. You have been placed on our healing list and we shall think of you daily! If you wish me to send this painting to you by email please let me know. Painted on textured glass
I have been very fortunate to meet some wonderful people on Red Bubble over the last year. People who I consider firm friends now, they know who they are and I don’t need to name them. I feel however that I would like to name someone; a young photographer who is very talented and gives us all amazing insights into a world unseen. He takes great risks to share the beautiful creatures he photographs and I for one admire him greatly. Please view his wonderful new collection of photographs…...... I dedicate this Ephemeral Painting called Looking Out to / Matt Tworkowski May 3rd 2009
A Special Day is dedicated to my godson who celebrates his birthday today. I am so happy to be able to have painted this picture for him and to express the love and pride we all feel. Happy Birthday Daniel from your family, your friends and your Spirit Guides. Music – Happy Birthday To You London – May 3rd 2009
As a sacred symbol in Egyptian religion, the phoenix represented the sun, which dies each night and rises again each morning. According to Herodotus the bird was red and golden and resembled an eagle. Ephemeral Painting – This is all that exists of this work. I was very sad to see it go, but share it with you all.
Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without….. / Buddha quotes Ephemeral painting using mixed media on glass.
This Ephemeral Healing Painting made me experience something very special yesterday. I could actual see the different characters as I painted. There was a real awareness of transcending the bounds of ordinary consciousness to an ineffable awareness beyond time, space and physicality. There was a very strong connection with Spirit for this person. An instant awareness and the Magic of Fairytales and I must add a real sense of magic. / I had a very strong indication that someone may have frightened you with a fairy story when you were young? Something that has stayed with you to this day. Now is the time to examine children’s fairy stories your answers lie within them. A very strong connection came from Madame d’Aulnoy and I suggest you look her up. This is a fantastic connection and one I recommend you research. I will add a small link at the end, to help you on your journey. / I would like you to reflect on this a little more. I don’t just want to write. I really want to feel that you have taken on this wonderful gift from Spirit and use it correctly. This is so important to do and understand. I will communicate with you and hope that you can share your experiences with other people. / A good book to read might be Mysticism by Evelyn Underhill, where she defines five psychological stages of the mystical path. Not all may be experience by any one mystic. The path itself is characterised by a vacillation between states of intense pleasure and intense pain. The last stage which is known as the Union with the One is when one achieves a permanent and transcendent level of reality. / If this painting had been painted by your Spirit Guides and given to me I think I would jump for joy! I am very happy that you received such a poignant and meaningful message. I am here to help, if you need me. The Link the tales of Madame d’Aulnoy You have been placed on our healing list and we shall think of you daily. All The Sparrows are aware of your talents. If you wish me to send this painting to you by email please let me know. May 6th 2009
This Ephemeral Healing Painting depicts the first version of the myth of nature which embraces the entity of Ra. In the myth an egg was laid upon this mound by a celestial bird. The egg contained Ra. In the original version of this variant, the egg is laid by a cosmic goose. However, after the rise of the cult of Thoth, the egg was said to have been a gift from Thoth, and laid by an Ibis, the bird with which he was associated. There is a wonderful gathering present in this painting, which is accentuated by the richness of cloth and movement. / I would suggest you look into the beliefs of The Egyptians, especially their diet. They believed certain foods were not fit for human consumption. This could be a very important revelation for you. Please investigate it if you can find the time. You have been placed on our healing list and we shall think of you daily! If you wish me to send this painting to you by email please let me / know.
