  • Mother Earth
    by AngelArtist

    US$35.62–US$190.00

Mother Earth Mother Earth is a beautiful Queen endowed with many treasures. The skies are her satins. The sun is her gold. The moon is her silver. The clouds are her pearls. The air is her crystal. The seas are her diamonds. The birds are her minstrels. The butterflies and the bees are her ladies-in-waiting. The flowers and leaves are her brocades. The earthworms are her servants. We are the lords and the ladies of her court. If we do not respect Queen Earth, she will fall ill, and her treasures will tarnish or be lost forever. If we respect Queen Earth, she shares her treasures for all to glory in. Original Art by Angela F. Acrylic on Canvas. by helene ruiz

    US$4.28–US$35.62

ACRYL ON Canvas / this is a painting about how we are somethimes influenced in a negative way by our neighborhoods environment…it is a painting that is actually inspired by my brothers and sisters who were all musicians and very very talented musicians who unfortunately went the “drug” route, i am symbolizing myself as the paintbrush painting their world ( i always painted to music, and theirs especially) i have since lost one brother to suicide, my sister has MS and can np longer play, and my baby brother has “lost” his mind to drugs….a lot of my work is symbolic of the environment in which i have lived since birth / I was the only one in the family who didnt played an instrument, i created my rhythms with color…

“Philosophy offers the rather cold consolation that perhaps we and our planet do not actually exist; religion presents the contradictory and scarcely more comforting thought that we exist but that we cannot hope to get anywhere until we cease to exist. Alcohol, in attempting to resolve the contradiction, produces vivid patterns of Truth which vanish like snow in the morning sun and cannot be recalled; the revelations of poetry are as wonderful as a comet in the skies-and as mysterious. Love, which was once believed to contain the Answer, we now know to be nothing more than an inherited behavior pattern.” James Thurber Original: Ink on Plexiglas, 48”w x 48”h x 1.75”d. • “Coal is a portable climate. It carries the heat of the tropics to Labrador and the polar circle; and it is the means of transporting itself whithersoever it is wanted. Watt and Stephenson whispered in the ear of mankind their secret, that a half-ounce of coal will draw two tons a mile, and coal carries coal, by rail and by boat, to make Canada as warm as Calcutta, and with its comfort brings its industrial power.” Ralph Waldo Emerson Contact the artist for any information, pricing or shipping details. • trip around the world in my origami plane solar impulse project / around the world in a solar airplane / in a world depending on fossil energies, the solar impulse project is a paradox, almost a provocation: it aims to have an airplane take off and fly autonomously, day and night, propelled uniquely by solar energy, right round the world without fuel or pollution. an unachievable goal without pushing back the current technological limits in all fields… / /

Suddath Due to a successful brook trout restoration program, for the first time in 30 years, anglers are now able to fish for brook trout in park streams of the Smoky Mountains. These streams were once ruined by logging. The brook trout was also rooted out my non native rainbow and brown trout. Our waters are precious for our life and all of natures, help keep them clean. This image was taken on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, Great Smoky Mountain N.P.
