  • This motive has been on the bubble as a T-shirt for a while, and I’ve had a few requests for posters so here we are. / I don’t know why I didn’t do this from the beginning, but anyway better late than never I guess. It has been my best selling tee ever so far, and it is one of the vector pictures I am the most proud of. / The concept of this design was an idea I had bumping around in my head for a very long time before I jumped in to it and first put it to paper. / It was tossed around for a while together with thousands of ideas and idea snippets, collected throughout my life. / Ideas I take care of in notepads and on paper scraps of different origin and quality that I stuff in to boxes of different orig….a.s.f. Then one day (triggered by a vid I saw on the youtube. It was about how animals in African wild parks are exploited for cash) I had the idea with the blood and that was it…I went straight for the computer and scanned my sketches of the zebra/barcode ideas. Then I brought it all together in Adobe Illustrator for execution (My absolute favourite vector app.). I let the design sit on my computer screen for a couple of days as I did tiny little corrections now and then. / Afterwards I hid it for a few weeks, and then I published it after a few more minor enhancements…..and voila! POS /

  • OMG- I love these fellows…I wanted to jump in and hug her. But, I took over 100 photos instead..lol /

  • The mystical slopes of Forbidden Plateau on Vancouver Island BC, Canada, harbour a secret. Anciently it is said that an entire tribe of people who were pursued by their enemies, disappeared forever into the sacred mists high up on the plateau. A powerful legend that still thrives today. Part proceeds from this photograph help benefit the Prince Rupert Wildlife Rescue Shelter. Thank you for helping the animals.

  • I find this bird to be one of those birds that is a pleasure to watch.. they are usually found alone.. and they must dry their wings , before diving again, due to no oil glands on the wings. Lakes Park. Fort Myers, Florida. Sony DSC H 7 ** / This is a clickable image

  • Our planet is slowly dying of disrespect. Governments and industries are not doing enough to stop the global warming process. People have changed their daily habits, sometimes quite a bit, to help control pollution, but in many cases, it’s only as long as there is no extra cost or too much effort involved. In the meantime the Earth is sick, bleeding to death. Another composite created for a challenge. I’m really pleased with myself because I wanted a texture layer with splatters or drippings or leaking of some kind, and I was about to purchase a stock image, when I decided to try making my own. I went through my things, and picked a tube of bright red poster paint, which I diluted with a bit of water to make it manageable, added corn syrup for texture and a splash of concentrated beef stock to darken the mix. I used a kitchen brush to make the splatters on an old board and made several shots. When my son walked in, for a moment he thought that I had injured myself seriously or that I gone mad and butchered the dog! ;-) Position cursor over the thumbnails for more details on how these photos were used Featured in the Anticonsumerism group on March 16, 2009 1st place winner in the Experimenting with Media challenge of the Experimental Group on March 19, 2009 Finished in 8th position of Top Ten in the Unconventional Flower challenge of the Unconventional Artistry group on May 8, 2009 975 views on December 7, 2009 Also available as a T-shirt in my greeting cards and clothing portfolio and while over there , perhaps you could take the opportunity to add me my to your watchlist… ;-) /

  • Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England. It provides the perfect introduction to the National Park, its people, history and wildlife. Nikon D60 / HDR in Photomatix & pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200mm / 1/160 f/9.0 ISO200

  • The water is a mix of salt and fresh water, creating a very interesting environment for Great Blue Herons. I watched this bird for some time, as it fed on very small fish. I loved the bird against the marsh grasses when it decided to move on. The reflection in the tidal pool was definitely a bonus. The image was captured at Campbell River on Vancouver Island, Canada, using a Nikon D700, Nikkor 600 mm lens and 1.4 teleconverter on a Gitzo monopod.
