this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.

Our society’s addiction to oil and oil based products is threatening the human race. Corporate greed is compromising human rights and the environment through pollution and global warming. Things must change before it’s too late. This t-shirt is designed to quickly communicate the relationship between oil consumption and human suffering. The image of a hand gun and the use of the colour red represents blood and human suffering (so I would recommend a red t-shirt, but it still works on other colours). The fuel pump nozzle and use of black represents oil and petrol consumption. The link between the two items is the ‘trigger’, each of which is designed to be levered by the human finger. The ‘Oil Kills’ global message defies language barriers; selling to buyers in USA, UK, Canada, Europe and Australia.

I was initially going to use a roadmap from a part of Israel…but then I figured it would better to use Texas! Just not sure why? hmm…hehe Road map for peace The “road map” for peace is a plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict proposed by a “quartet” of international entities: the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations. The principles of the plan were first outlined by U.S. President George W. Bush in a speech on June 24, 2002, in which he called for an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace: “The Roadmap represents a starting point toward achieving the vision of two states, a secure State of Israel and a viable, peaceful, democratic Palestine. It is the framework for progress towards lasting peace and security in the Middle East…” Definition from Wikipedia I never was any good at folding maps back up… / Now there is only 999 more cranes to make…till world peace!

The Missing Remaining White Rhinos / The White Rhino is believed to be on the brink of extinction. In April 2003 there were 30 rhinos. In 2006 there were only 4 confirmed animals but worryingly, recent fieldwork in 2008 has so far failed to find any presence of these four remaining White Rhinos. Could it be they are disguising themselves as common Zebra to avoid poachers? On the face of it a humorous image but in reality, another depressing effect man has had on the natural world. The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. In the future we won’t need real trees. / Artificial trees will bring us all the excitment that nature provided. / And, they won’t shed pesky leaves. / Just be careful around all the pointy bits. / And don’t climb them. / Or try and carve your initials in them. / The voltage can kinda sting.
