  • 350 is the red line for human beings, the most important number on the planet. The most recent science tells us that unless we can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million, we will cause huge and irreversible damage to the earth. We’re planning an international campaign to unite the world around the number 350, and we need your help. We need to make sure that the solutions the world proposes to climate change are to scale with the level of crisis that this number represents. Everyone on earth, from the smallest village to the cushiest corner office, needs to know what 350 means. The movement to spread that number needs to be beautiful, creative, and unstoppable. • I wanted to create something to express my feelings of an immediate need for change in America. The day I took this photo I read two separate articles, the first was about Anthropogenic global warming. The second article was about the economic effects of the gas price breaking four dollars a gallon . Regardless of how you look at the issue from either a environmental standpoint of the implications of global warming or if you only look at the issue economically and how world demand has reached a point where finding inexpensive cheap gas for all is no longer a possibility. No matter what angle you approach it drastic changes are in store for America and the world regarding our usage of carbon based energy sources. Starting with the internal combustion engine the world has enjoyed a period of growth and advancement that has never been experienced before. It is up to us to adapt to the situation before it becomes too dire if we are to enjoy the same standards we have today. Just like a driver in a car makes the instinctual change of course to remain on the road we must alter our way of life to avoid running off the road. We can change. Or we can be Changed.

  • Done by hand with wacom pen and pad. Sales of this work is donated to wildlife-appeal Cold here and this is what I seen in the snow yesterday… Have to travel tomorrow over the pass so I will not be on line for the day….By the time I get to where I am going I might look like this Bear LOL…It is snowing like crazy here.

  • This is at the beginning of the road to Seathwaite, taken earlier this year. What you can not see is me standing bare foot to take this image, or my work van parked here waiting to be recovered after being flooded by someone’s bow wave or the little car with a very polite elderly lady starting to float in the flow. It was ruddy cold walking through the water to push her car out lol. They have altered the flood defenses further down and it has caused the flooding here to get worse, especially when it is linked to a high tide Shot in Cumbria, part of the signs series

  • At its most basic level our carbon production starts here. The more humans there are on the planet the more carbon we will produce. / Help reduce our carbon footprint; wear a condom or seek advice from your GP or family planning unit or maybe your religious advisor. / The views expressed above are not endorssed by Redbubble or any religious groups they aren’t even necessarily endorssed by myself. They are in fact merely intended as a little adult humour whilst highlighting our impact on our planet & its enviroment. My tongue is squarley in my cheek; for now at least!!!! / 05/10/09

  • Something we are all responsible for,and yet many ignore that this is happening faster than we imagined. / My version of Climate Change. / PS2 work using layers, brushes, gradients.
