So the other day I had a bit of a setback… a lapse of positive optimistic pessimism…. and was feelin a lil dark… / Even the art was doin my head in… / And I thought to myself… wouldnt it be nice if I could just switch the brain OFF. / Let one thought through at a time…. / But that’ll never happen… not with how my mind likes to tick… / But everything was getting dark and I needed something. / Something capable of preoccupying my mind long enough for the overload of thought and emotion to subside… weaken down and mellow out and let a little light in… So yea…the other day… / Talked to the Man… he’s always good to talk to when I’m down. :) Cheered me up some, made me some yummy food :) (I hate cooking) He had to go to work though so then it was just us… (me n zaf) / Contemplated ringing my Ma… or inviting a friend over… but when i thought about it, I didnt really feel like talking anymore (it has its windows, my talking) / So I decided to go MIA online, with Art, and with relatives and friends in the “real world”... (that part went unnoticed tho.. lol) / Not often that i do that… Consciously decide to have some ME time… which of course means US time, me and my daughter, as she’s always by my side :) / Summer is well n truly on her way… had a gorgeous warm day… and I forced my lil dark self to go out and chill in it… much needed sun… / Me n my sift memory lol, cant remember which day was the warmer one, as the last few have all been quite nice. :) So, sittin in the sun is all good, but it doesnt keep the thoughts at bay… / Pity i didnt take any pen and paper out with me cos i came up with some good dark prose… / but its actually probably a good thing i didnt… my dark moods dont write nice things lol… and I’m not the greatest at keeping vague and not giving away my secrets when i’m down… stay away from the pen lol… and i wont get myself in any trouble :) / Zafyre loves it outside! We’ve blocked off the back balcony from the yard so she can wander in and out as she chooses during the day… she’s managed to drag a few of her toys out there also :) so cute… / And she is so gentle with flowers! She handles them like they are the most precious thing to her.. its absolutely adorable, and I know I’m biased, but it is… she is! / She makes me laugh :) She is the best medicine :) And my my dont the chicks like cars lol… / Not even Two yet and she is already in love with the car :) / By the time the day was drawing to a close i was feeling a lot lighter… a lil brighter… / I do love daylight savings… the air itself smells different… tastes different.. / 7-30pm and the sun still shone… the moon visible too, so magical… so common here now that it is taken for granted how magical it is.. but still magical :) / Houseworks not bad at keeping thoughts away, at bay, waiting for another day… / and deep frying chips :) / Then you can always try jumping on a mountain of soft toys :) / / Play tickle monsters with a toddler who has contagious laughter and a beautiful smile… / Run around the house pretending you’re an aeroplane… / She loves it all:) / and yea…I have fun too :) impossible not to with such a contagious cheery soul around. So as the day turned to night and all the thoughts n chaos tries to regain control of my mind, and my lil one lay sleeping, dreaming in the land of nod… I remembered! / A few days back my housemate rocked up with a pressie for me :) / The entire season 2 of Heroes! wicked! love that show! / So, got yummy munchies and drinks n all that jazz set up n kicked back and watched Heroes :) / And kept watching lol… (and talking and yelling at the tv to the characters as i do lol) / and when dawn came round and there were still a few episodes left, I watched them too, and after it finished, I felt better than i had in ages, cos i hadnt given a serious single thought to any of my own stuff since i started watchin it… No dark sinister corrupting thoughts even attempted to dig in while i watched.. and that is the closest i ever come to ‘switching off’ / I felt good… / and tired lol…but then Zaffy woke up so another day started and we got some more sun and laughs and whatnot before she succumbed to her midday nap when i was all ‘oh yea, sleep time for me too now :) / And then Shane wanted to watch Heroes, so I watched it again with him… Now I’m gonna have to wait for season 3 to be released lol… season 2 has only just started on the normal telly… pay tv wont have it for awhile yet (funny how the normal free tv here gets shows way before pay tv does these days lol) / So…anywayz, I got to drift on in scifi land again and not have to think… again.. and it was good :) / And the next day when i woke up… everything still remained that little brighter… the darkness was ebbing and i had my smile back :) (woohooo lol) / sounds cliche and corny i know… but its how it goes… suppose cliches become cliche for a reason…. I almost painted… got the blank canvas out and looked at it :) but then i ended up drawing instead… / ooh, I had a nice suprise when I checked in here yesty… My piece Purrfect Moment was on the HomePage yesterday! Nice One! / I love it when something of mine is chosen for the limelight :) / And it sure got a lot of comments and faves while in that homepage limelight :) / sadly…no bites :) but its all good hey… / So I did get a screen shot when I checked in momentarily yesty :) / I know i was mia.. but i still couldnt help but check in once or twice (maybe three times) / oh…yea, almost forgot :) / Can you guess what I’m thinking? was featured 4 days ago in the Children-The Power of Raw Emotion group… new features are up now, but it had a few days there :) / Celebrate was featured in the Extremely Positive group about 15 hours ago, but they’re quick over there lol, and new features are up already :) / and Pleading with the Beast is featured in Dragon’s Fire / yes its still there! :) / So thanx to the group hosts and all that jazz… always appreciated!
