These kids and their shovel-wielding teacher were crossing a foot bridge in Lucerne, Switzerland. I took this with a 2.4 megapixel camera and worked with it enlarged to get a painted look without obvious pixelization.

This is a colab with jegustavsen who does some amazing typographic work… check it! “Every memorable act in the history of the world is a triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it because it gives any challenge or any occupation, no matter how frightening or difficult, a new meaning. Without enthusiasm you are doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it you can accomplish miracles.” - Og Mandino

I tweaked it a bit, with an editing program. :)
I love working on detailed stuff sometimes, and especially butterflies and birds added to artwork. I hid in the back of the freak house to photograph the diverse and candid expression last / Halloween, The innocence of children make for wonderful photographs given the raw candor of their facial expressions. The photo of the child on the left is priceless. She looks startled and shocked and her friend who looks a little older looks much more comfortable as she gazes at the spooky creatures with fascination and awe, emotions that are typical of the true wonder and individuality of children’s experiences and expressiveness.
