  • This is one of my favourite pieces, partly because I was happy with how it came out aesthetically, but also because of the reaction I get when I show people. They either think it is a very happy picture or a very sad picture, and I believe this is down to which side of the photograph they are drawn to first. Naturally, there is a level of progression across the picture – I had to wait for that little black cloud to float over to where I wanted it to take this shot.

  • ACRYL ON CANVAS

  • If you’re constantly exposed to it, I fail to see how it can’t affect you. / I just whipped this up tonight after being inspired again to create by Scott Robinson.

  • Feeling inspired by some lovely spring road shots by Ruth Lambert I immediately dug in my store again, and here is another shot from May last year. Just a few weeks now, and then it will be possible to walk and cycle on these wonderful lanes again. These beech-trees have a special quality in May when the green of their leaves is so fresh and lightful. Oh yes, I altogether agree with Ruth who said: “It can´t come soon enough.” Near Maartensdijk, 7th May 2008, 8.12 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 90 mm / F 13, 1/25, ISO 200 Actually this is the same country-road that is shown on the October shot of mine which up to now is the most popular picture of this gallery. Laneland shows its beauty here in each time of the year. But spring and autumn certainly are best: Those of you who ever have looked far back into my gallery, know it in its full autumnal splendour too:

  • The passing of our fellow Co Creator Bernard Lacoque seemed to touch me deeply. I don’t know why, I don’t know if I was on his watchlist, or for that matter if he was on mine. However, whenever I saw his work and read what kind of canvas he chose to put his stunning heART on, I was truly amazed. I feel like I am missing somehthing today, like the opportunity to let him know how I truly felt. / This is a photo of myself I have never posted. It is me looking very old (which I like actually) as it was taken at my departed husbands funeral…burned and sent down the Ganga Ma. Have I Done Enough Today? Linaji / There simply is no death. I ask myself as sadness sets in / Did I do enough today to bring me close / to the voice within? / Did I tell you that you made me smile / and I’m glad you were in my life for awhile?
