After making a few rounds of flight in the city suburbs, Ophelia decided to rest her wings. She found a balcony with little pots of sweet pink flowers and as usual started a long conversation with them that lasted late after midnight. It seemed that Ophelia liked befriending flowers than owls. What a peculiar owl! You can view and buy my other “Ophelia’s Pink Friends” creations at my Zazzle Gallery: / /
This is Sandy squirrel, this time she collected her nut and the then sat on the fence as she ate it. I noticed that she has buried some nuts in my sister’s hanging baskets LOL and they are beginning to sprout leaves.

Orten effect and selective coloring was used.. (Tom Sawyer)
This image is a watercoloring of a pen and ink drawing. The drawing was transferred to watercolor paper by laser printer, then colored-in with watercolors. The pen drawing is one of those exercises where the artist seeks to plumb the unconscious depths of his psyche and let whatever is percolating down there flow out in whatever manner it wishes. The first line is drawn in a single flourish, which is then observed for several moments until 3-dimensional visions begin to appear. The shading is then begun, using the same vibrating line squeezed through a variable nozzle. The resultant image may end up totally abstract, or might remind the viewer of recognizable objects. Final coloring can be used to match those objects. The Odalisque objects are in your imagination. The title Odalisque refers to a slave in a harem. My naming is relevant only in terms of being a slave to love. The undercurrent I feel with this piece is the expression of the joy and excitement of sharing love, consumming love, and being consummed by love. Watercolor painted on 90 lb cold press acid-free watercolor paper. So many people fly through life with an objective or target that has to be met, but how often do you really slow down and consider the responsibilty of your own actions. Just enjoy the view for me from time to time.

A beautiful November day, a great time to be on the water.
Bench by the ocean and Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. The Nubble Lighthouse, perched atop a rocky outcrop in York Beach, Maine, stands 41 feet high, 88 feet above sea level. The Nubble began operating in 1879 after a five-year construction effort. It was painted white in 1902 after intially being red or possibly brown. Its red beacon flashes at six-second intervals and can be seen from 13 nautical miles away. Like all lighthouses in the Seacoast, The Nubble is automated. The last lighthouse keeper moved out in July 1989, and the house is no longer occupied. One of the most popular times to view The Nubble is when the town of York lights up the lighthouse and buildings for Christmas, on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. The lights come on at dusk from then until the first week of January. There is free parking at Sohier Park, at the end of Nubble Road in York Beach, with an excellent view of the lighthouse. The lighthouse and grounds, however, are not open to the public. Nikon D300 PSE 7 handheld 200 ISO 12-4-09 /
