It was another beautiful summer morning with some haze a few days ago which made me go out on my bike early. I am glad I did push myself up and out.! The forests here near Hilversum are such a good cycling area! Near Laage Vuursche, 24 July 2008, 6.45 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 150 mm / F 8, 1/25, ISO 200 Featured in “Your Magic Place”.

Well this one that settled on the bow of a small boat in front of me certainly seemed to be enjoying the peace and beauty of the moment as much as I was. An eerie atmosphere as the sun was setting on the River Teign in Devon UK., I am told that the geography of this part of the river gives most unusual colours during a sunset from yellow to golden bronze.

BEST VIEWED FULL SIZE! A just-for-fun compilation of 2 images. I took the sunset on January 28, 2009 from my backyard … one of those rare occasions when we really got amazing colors. The birds on the light pole were taken in Pennsylvania on January 12, 2009. I don’t know what it is about this particular light pole, but large numbers of pigeons can usually be found grouped together here. The two images were combined in Photoshop.

She enjoys putting on all kinds of quirky caps and hats, she is never seen without them! Acrylic On Canvas Ophelia,Phoebe and Mel having fun on the elephant’s back….and elephant was pleased to have their company as well! :D This was painted in May’08 and I remembered I had a yearning to want to visit Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand :D..so that was why I painted these 3 friends having an outing with the elephant….because there are many elephant reserves there in Chiang Mai, where they protect these precious animals from harm. Oil Pastel And Acrylic And Minor Digital Enhancements Concept: This is one of the many in Ophelia’s Love Encounters Series, it’s her experience of many facets of this wonderful thing called LOVE.. This is what she has to say about love today : “Love means being surrounded by redbubblers everyday.” Time rockets! Had some pockets of reflection and guess what…have been here on RB for 2 months already, I just entered my 3rd month :D Life on RB has been so enjoyable and enriching for me but I have one major regret. That is I should have joined much earlier. I remembered when I first joined this community, Fa assured me that this is the most vibrant online community that she has ever experienced and that I would enjoy my stay here…and of course, she’s right!! As I am staying in a foreign country(I’m a Singaporean living in Thailand) and working alone most of the times, RB has given me much support in terms of creative expression and a great pool of friends whom I know care for me. I wouldnt dare ask for more :D Truly grateful for all the friends whom I have made over these months,friends who have constantly provided feedback and comments to my work, both here and in my smile4me gallery, who have favorited my works and exchanged numerous bmails with..I owe my beautiful stay in RB to all of you! This little piece of artwork is me saying THANK YOU to all you beautiful people out there!! :D /

In the centre, the Weem Rock and in the distance, the snow covered Grampian Mountain range seen looking over the River Tay near the Village of Aberfeldy in the Breadalbane region of Highland Perthshire (Breadalbane means “Highland Scotland” in Gaelic). Shot taken on Saturday 20th December 08 in the middle of our winter. The Grampian Mountains or Grampians (Am Monadh in Gaelic) are one of the three major mountain ranges in Scotland, extending northeast to southwest and forming a natural barrier between the Highlands and the Lowlands. The Tay is Scotland longest river, meandering across Scotland from Loch Tay before flowing out to sea at the Firth of Tay. Three bracketed JPGs converted to HDR in Photomatix.
