French and english poem. «Grand-Anse New-Brunswick»
by micmacJe suis toujours là / Dans les remous de la vie / St-Graäl ,pourquoi pas / Indomptable mais ravie. Photos, bonheurs, souvenirs / Intarris…
I’ve wrote this a day of great lonelyness.I was thinking of my acadian mother with whom I never had a good relationship.I went to GrandAnse several times before she died but never could go back after her death. Many friends overthere must wondering why I didn’t go back,I’m thinkink about them so often missing them so much , them and the salted wind of the sea.Frederique was my grand-father and Evangeline is an old story from a woman who had waited all her life to see his deported husband,a wonderful story that every acadian knows.Soon i will return to my ancesters because now I’m ready. It has been nine years. When I wrote this poem I took the «chiac» accent like la« sagouine » I wish some of the viewers knows that marvelous language because it adds an other dimension to this piece of writing…..... Spell Chequer
by clarkeyEye have a spelling chequer / It came with my pea sea
This was e-mailed to me earlier this year – i thought it was priceless and VERY, VERY relevant. After reading a Forum topic, I thought it would be appropriate to post this. Having been a secretary for many years, i find the degradation of our (English) language appalling; I also think it’s bad manners not to take the time to make sure your contribution is correct in all ways. However, as one member said in the Forum thread, i find myself biting my tongue rather than correcting or criticizing someone – they are contributing and that is what RedBubble is all about. I’m not claiming to be perfect in my use of my language, I make mistakes which I sometimes miss. With the ability to Edit Posts, I will be able to crrect them as soon as I see them. I find it very hard not to correct THIS!!! :-)

A Horrible Satire
by G. Merrick JusticeEveryone was thrilled with this idea, and they were considering a banquet and frivolity and free English muffin baskets, when suddenly a …
I wrote this tongue and cheek RedBubble metaphor during the Moderator/Leader/Host crisis of a month + back… the ending of the story thankfully did not match the resolution of the conflict here, and yet this same basic issue still plagues us – unwillingness to simply concede victory to another party, and more horribly damaging, the inability of some to have a debate without it becoming an argument and finally a brawl. All would do well to remember it is in unity which as artists and linguists we stand firm… sometimes semantics should be let to slide, if only to prevent them from creating conflict.

Treasure
by Raymond CarleA poem written with old english. I hope there are people that still appreciate that
In life we are always looking for something, and sometimes we don’t know what it is. You could interprete this poem as looking for love, or just looking for something that’s missed. But sometimes, just sometimes, if we keep an open heart, then what we look for finds us.

english – information provided by wikipedia:
English art is the body of visual arts originating from the nation of England, in the form of a continuous tradition. Following historical surveys such as Creative Art In England by William Johnstone (1936 and 1950), Nikolaus Pevsner attempted a definition in his 1956 book The Englishness of English Art, as did Sir Roy Strong in his 2000 book The Spirit of Britain: A narrative history of the arts, and Peter Ackroyd in his 2002 book The Origins of the English Imagination. Although medieval English painting, mostly religious, had a strong national tradition and was at times influential on the rest of Europe, this was in decline from the 15th century and the Protestant Reformation not only brought the tradition to an abrupt stop but resulted in the destruction of almost all wall-paintings. Only illuminated manuscripts now survive in good numbers.RedBubble is a great place to find art, design, photos and writing from over 50,000 talented people.
