Not quite what it seems.. I sat by the waterfall for an hour trying to get good shots of the salmon leaping the falls, yet failed to catch a shot with multiple salmon. I achieved this image by using three shots and a bit of photo editing magic. Taken at Stainforth Force, Ribblesdale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. MY WATERFALLS SET

Whitby Abbey taken at 4:30 am (yawn). The first light of the day from the rising sun gave this amazing glow to the stones of this ancient building bringing it to life. Whitby is a wonderful seaside town along the North Yorkshire coast of England. This is a fascinating place to visit. Thornton force is part of the Ingleton waterfalls walk in the Yorkshire dales national park. / Thornton force is the most impressive waterfalls on the walk if not the whole of England, drops 14 metres down and you can walk behind it too, this is part of the river Twiss.. / Shot with a NIkon D70s and a 18-70mm lens fitted with polariser. / 3 shot HDR. /

A shot of the village of Ingleton in Yorkshire England and its viaduct in the background. / A little history of the viaduct.: / A railway viaduct spanning the Greta Gorge in Ingleton. The viaduct was built as part of the Ingleton Branch line in 1859 and connected the two railway stations in Ingleton, built by rival railway companies. Passengers wishing to reach connecting trains faced a considerable walk. The viaduct has 11 arches with a total span of 244 metres with a height above the River Greta of just over 24 metres. Wain Wath Force is a waterfall situated on the River Swale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, North Yorkshire, England. The falls are located at grid reference NY883015, one kilometre upstream from the hamlet of Keld which has three other waterfalls in its vicinity, namely Kisdon Force, East Gill Force and Catrake Force. The falls in the north of England are often termed “Forces” after the Norse word “Foss” which means waterfall. / Wain Wath Force is not a substantial falls; it has a drop of only around 1.5 metres as the river flows beneath the limestone cliffs of Cotterby Scar. Despite its modest height it is popular with visitors, the Coast to Coast long distance footpath passes the falls on the north bank of the River Swale while the main motor road up Upper Swaledale passes on the south bank. / Shot with a Nikon D70s and 18-70mm lens /

by richie foxi am very happy i stumbled upon this today. (11 feb 2009) Here is some panels of the fence that i took close up photographs of. As you can see each panel of fence has a completly different pattern, colour and texture. I have a fair few photographs taken and I have been able to produce some fantastic pieces of art. I think it is a fantastic find!!! / This abstract image is a little part of someones garden fence! Every strip of fence had been weather treated, but all the strips were completly different. i took lots of pictures as there were so many fantastic different shots. The wood fence looks as if it had been coated with weather stain, then it looks like a coat of tar had been applied, then it looks like the treated areas of the fence were blistered by the sun, leaving behind a some wonderful abstract art! i think that this picture looks like the sea – a field – hills – horizon with trees on it. / im uploading this picture, and i may upload another. i have cropped this picture slightly. i have adjusted the brightness/ contrast/ hue and saturation a little bit also, just to bring out the brilliance of what i photographed.

Beverley Minster, East Yorkshire, UK. Beverley Minster, in Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire is a parish church in the Church of England. It is generally regarded as the most impressive (architecturally speaking) church in England that is not a cathedral. / Originally a collegiate church, it was not selected as a bishop’s seat during the Dissolution of the Monasteries; nevertheless it survived as a parish church, and the chapter house was the only major part of the building to be lost. It is part of the Greater Churches Group and a Grade 1 Listed building. / The Minster owes its origin and much of its subsequent importance to St John of Beverley, who founded a monastery locally around 700 AD and whose bones still lie beneath a plaque in the nave. The institution grew after his death and underwent several rebuildings. After a serious fire in 1188, the subsequent reconstruction was overambitious; the newly heightened central tower collapsed c. 1213 bringing down much of the surrounding church. by richie foxAbstract Macro Photography The picture below is a stolen, burnt out car. / This is showing the rear right side. / You can see what has been produced by the fire / Armley Woods, Leeds. / sunday 31.5.09 / 7.15am / For all these phenomina to appear on the car, the car has been left on fire, and eventually, there is nothing left on the car to burn, so it just dies out. the paint work on the car , bubbles up and seperates itself from the metal at very hot temperatures. / Once it is all cool down, it is very delicate. / You just blow the flakey paint lightly, and this abstract art lies beneath. / If the car had been put out by water, im pretty sure that no abstracts would have appeared.
