An early morning study of winter tree shape, just as we begin to break into Spring. This was taken just south of Ashbourne in Derbyshire on my way up to meet up with other UK bubblers in 2008, and I feel is my best image of the trip – well worth the early start for. Taken with a Sony A100, F4, 100th/sec, 75mm, ISO400, hand held, but resting on car roof for support This image has featured as image of the day on Fotopic.net, bringing over 500 extra views

I was out for a walk at the ancient hill fort of Maiden Castle near Dorchester. When I reached the very top I saw this couple walking towards each other. They must have been in their 70is but bravely withstood the the rain, the cold and the wind. I liked the way they slowly walk towards each other clinging onto their walking sticks. / Browse Dorit’s gallery by print format: / ~ Landscape Format / ~ Square Format / ~ Portrait Format / ~ Panorama Format / / Image Collections: Featured work Layered with Texture Monochrome Camera Paintings Floral Triptychs This & That / /

How beautiful the snow flakes are and we have many of them in England at the moment.
Taken on a very rare snowy morning in Bristol on my way to work. / Its the first time I have shot in the snow and the first time I have used my new tripod, so I was able to get nice slow speeds with a tight aperture. / A little work in PS to correct the colour and sharpen etc. Taken with a Nikon D70 and a CPL.

2nd January 2009 – what a stunningly beautiful day! We’d had the heaviest snowfall that London has seen in the past 18 years or so. All public transport was a total shambles and the city of London came to a grinding halt as folk could not get to into the city / to the office. Instead, people headed outdoors to enjoy the splendour of the day!! What a delight! Canon EOS 450D 18-55mm kit lens
Herringfleet Mill can be found where you might least expect to find it – about twenty yards on the Suffolk side of the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Given Norfolk’s monopoly on spectacular, well-preserved mills, it seems only fair that neighbouring Suffolk should have a few of its own…although it should be noted that even this mill is officially in the Norfolk Broads. This photograph was taken on an extremely February day. A 13 seconds’ exposure captured the movement of the clouds as they raced across the East Anglian sky. Canon EOS 5D and EF 16-35mm lens. Exposure of 13 seconds at f/22.

Featured in The Woman Photographer on 12 November 2009 – thank you so much! this image was taken on the 2nd Feb 2009 when we had those incredibly heavy snows here in London (heaviest snow fall this area has seen in the last 18 years or so!) It was an incredible day where all public transport was a total shambles and the city of London came to a grinding halt as folk could not get to into the city / to the office. Instead, people headed outdoors to enjoy the splendour of the day!! What a delight!!! And this image just seems to make the perfect Season’s Greetings card :) hence the upload now :)) I’d initially uploaded it here (my “old” profile … thanks to everyone who visited and left such generous notes and comments back then and even recently :) More seasonal images of the Epping Forest area can of course be viewed on the main SeeOneSoul website ... pages 7 – 9 of the Epping Gallery contain the winder shots :) Hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed seeing, experiencing & creating ;) ~ Tina
