It was a cold day and the tide was far out meaning that parts of the beach that are usually cut off by the tide were accessable and I could walk a mile or so along the beach from the car park to reach this spot.

It managed to shield me from the gale force winds for a while if nothing else.

This was a particularly cold morning with frost and ice still on the pathways and roads.

Early morning on the Norfolk Broads, England. The glowing sunlight on the mist up ahead, where the river narrows, makes one eager to discover what beauty lies in wait around the next bend. / /
Inspired by Joseph Turner. Lindisfarne Priory and Castle, In Northumberland, (near where I live), as a storm rolls in, from the ever-moody, North Sea! Watercolour on 90lb paper 12”x 8” I loved painting this, and will do a much larger one, in the future.
A follow up to my earlier image of Brothers water in English The Lake District. This time I zoomed in a bit from my previous wide-angled view to get a bit more detail on the hills and composed with the water line midway to take advantage of the beautiful early morning reflections. How beautiful the snow flakes are and we have many of them in England at the moment.
Slaters Bridge in Little Langdale is one of the English Lake District national parks iconic views. It’s an old stone packhorse bridge in a lovely setting which took slate miners over the River Brathay on their return to Langdale after a hard day’s work. / This was shot looking over the bridge. / 3 shot HDR tonemapped image. / Shot with a Nikon D200 and 18-70mm lens. /
