This photo was published in the April issue of the German ‘Tomorrow’ magazine, as part of their ‘Best of Flickr’ feature. / The photo was taken on June 2007, in Stratford-Upon-Avon, England – the birth place of William Shakespeare. It shows the famous Stratford’s Jester statue, done by sculptor James Butler. / The statue is placed on Henley Street, near Shakespeare’s Birthplace. The Jester is standing on a base which has four inscriptions from the Shakespeare’s work on it. On this bridge as a boy scout I saw a ghost, from then it became special, almost ethereal in my eyes. The sight of such an unexplained event inspires and triggers the imagination of a young boy to life. I still look at this bridge and wonder which realm the spirit came from and what secrets are held in every arch and brick of this unique structure. In the soft early morning light, the reflections shimmer on the water like ripples through time, stirring the souls of those who have passed over the bridge, and passed across dimensions. This is not just a bridge over a piece of water it is a bridge which spans time, space and maybe spirituality, to me it is the bridge of faith and belief, a bridge of discovery and imagination, a bridge of light and life, a true contender for the most beautiful bridge in the world. To me it is already a winner, it moved and inspired me it helped to make me what I am today, what I believe and what I feel. Alance Bridge this is my entry as the most Beautiful Bridge in the world.

Been working on a few versions of Stonehenge to get a more mysterious look, and this is the other one. I had worked on this earlier, but did not post as I had posted the original photo some time ago and did not want to duplicate. But I was really happy with the result. The most obvious change is to monotone, however I have played with Exposure, and added Vivid Light Gradient to create the mood in the sky. The original / The other one /

This is one of my own favourite paintings. I did it over 20 years ago and takes prode of place in my Lounge room. I painted it off a photo my dad took on my parents first trip. A few years later I was able to go there myself and find the spot and take my own picture, mine was not as appealing as dad’s as the mountains did not have the nice layered look as this one. Painted in Oils.
