This is my first “request” – thanks Cathleen. I used to love this station, but the powers-that-be decided Blyth didn’t need the railways any more. Since then, a fantastic Metro train network has been created in Northumberland and Tyne & Wear and guess which town is left out because we no longer have rail tracks. I did an earlier version of this picture, on which this is based. Here it is:
Winter Light..i wanted this too look like a painting and hopefully i have achieved this, this is one of the prettiest places i have been too, its almost magical at this spot. 2008. Lode Mill , Cambridgeshire .United Kingdom

Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I’ve moved some of the boats to be closer together, as my version is a small painting, 10×7 inches, on rough Bockingford tinted cream paper, 140lb. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.
My version of a Thomas Bush Hardy (1842-97). From an 1895 watercolour of Ramsgate Harbour. A panoramic shaped painting, 23” x 10”. / Hand-made, 140lb rough paper. / For sale! Over 20 hours work. Multiple layers of semi-transparent and opaque watercolour, and white zinc gouache for highlights. Viewing in larger size is necessary.
After I demonstrated a few wave painting techniques, I later thought to join them up into a painting! A Spontaneous watercolour! Watercolour 14” x 10” on Bockingford rough 140lb. So far, nobody has spotted the little men in white shirts, clinging for life, to the torn-off mast (left side of painting). I’ve entered this into Impressionism Cafe,‘seascapes’
While visiting Malmesbury, England, we stayed at the Old Bell. It’s a beautiful and one of the oldest inn’s in the world. This is an Impressionist digital painting of the wisteria growing on the inn. Featured in Digital Artists United group. / /

Wax, watercolour, natural pigment, acrylic on very smooth thick Italian printing paper
this is a combination manip/painting / I’ve been working on this for a couple of weeks – a little each night. I tried to add a lot more depth and light from the wet street. More shadows too….I wanted it to be modern – yet at the same time, have a long ago feeling. Does that make sense? / I didn’t want it completely straight either – meaning I wanted a tad of the impressionistic style. I got tired at the end – and my brush strokes got a bit sloppy at the top…but I went back and tried to make it better. I made this for a fried of mine who loves England…. / (a birthday present). This is one of my own favourite paintings. I did it over 20 years ago and takes prode of place in my Lounge room. I painted it off a photo my dad took on my parents first trip. A few years later I was able to go there myself and find the spot and take my own picture, mine was not as appealing as dad’s as the mountains did not have the nice layered look as this one. Painted in Oils.
