A large boulder perched rather precariously on scree on the side of Illgill Hill, across Wastwater. Taken with low setting sun providing gorgeous golden autumn colours and shadows.

Scaleber Falls is conveniently situated by the roadside just outside of Settle, in the Yorkshire Dales. There’s a steep path going down to the bottom of the falls. This was taken on a misty day, no sun light to give it that little bit of magic sparkle… MY WATERFALLS SET

A photograph I took of Golitha Falls in Autumn, pronounced “Goleetha” Golitha Falls are situated to the north of Bodmin Moor on the River Fowey in an extremely attractive setting. The water cascades for over 800 yards for which most of this has a footpath running alongside the river. Camera used is a Canon EOS 400D with a Canon 17-40mm L series lens.

From the back of Kingston Maurward lake the view to the River at Bockhampton as it feeds the lake in the centre of Thomas Hardy country, Dorset. An afternoon of rain and sun gave some lovely light. Canon EOS 400D 18-55mm lens shutter speed 1/8, aperture 13. / HDR and photoshop editing.

Shot of Cotter force in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire dales national park taken on the 13th January 2009 / Cotter Force is a lovely secluded waterfall which is a part of the river Ure. It is a step series of about half a dozen waterfalls with the largest single drop being about 5 feet. The force widens as it descends being only a couple of feet wide at the top and about 15 feet wide at the bottom. The waterfalls are easily reached via a purpose designed path from the side of the A684 at Holme Heads Bridge situated two miles west by road travelling from Hawes. / Shot with a Nikon D70s and 18-70mm lens /

Wain Wath Force is a waterfall situated on the River Swale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, North Yorkshire, England. The falls are located at grid reference NY883015, one kilometre upstream from the hamlet of Keld which has three other waterfalls in its vicinity, namely Kisdon Force, East Gill Force and Catrake Force. The falls in the north of England are often termed “Forces” after the Norse word “Foss” which means waterfall. / Wain Wath Force is not a substantial falls; it has a drop of only around 1.5 metres as the river flows beneath the limestone cliffs of Cotterby Scar. Despite its modest height it is popular with visitors, the Coast to Coast long distance footpath passes the falls on the north bank of the River Swale while the main motor road up Upper Swaledale passes on the south bank. / Shot with a Nikon D70s and 18-70mm lens /

Looking down river from the lower falls at Aysgarth, Yorksire Dales, England. Near the village of Aysgarth the River Ure tumbles over a series of broad limestone steps which are known as Aysgarth Falls. Although not particularly high the waterfalls are one of Wensleydale’s most famous beauty spots (having been featured in the Kevin Costner film “Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves”), with a pleasant riverside walk linking the Upper, Middle and Lower Falls. In Shrewsbury town there is a park called the Quarry and it had a garden called The Dingle. / It is a place where couples could go there and ‘mingle’, hence the name Mingle in the Dingle !!
