  • Southbank of the Thames opposite / the houses of parliament in Westminster. London, February 1991.

  • Ethereal shadows and reflections embellish the facade of John Rylands Library on a spring afternoon. Patterns become intrinsic to the magic created in this edifice.

  • The famous public library promenade in Manchester City Centre becomes a witness everyday to myriads of pedestrians, thoughts and lost emotions.

  • An evening stroll in the famous Public Library promenade in Manchester,England. The curved exterior space becomes alive with light and chatter during spring months.

  • A rainbow over a South London house. This was taken this summer during yet another rainy day… at least the sun made a brief enough appearance to get this shot!

  • London 2006 ! / . Click to view

  • Millennium Bridge and St. Paul Cathedral, London, Uk ! / / - Click to view .

  • I was fascinated by this strange brand of condensed milk in my local pound shop.

  • A statue of a boy and his reflection in the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Hampshire

  • One of my favorite photos that I have framed in my living room featuring a view from the south bank of the Thames River in London. This shows one of London’s most well known bridges, Tower Bridge. Although it appears ancient, this bridge is artwork itself. Built in the Victorian era, it is a drawbridge and pedestrian walkway that is a miracle of engineering. The stone facade mimics the nearby Tower of London.

  • London, UK I usually walk along the south bank riverside in London.. and l passed by this place maybe a thousand times ! This time for some reason l was walking very slowly.. once I got here l just thought this could be the moment to take a nice picture.. I am happy with the result ! / / - / Click to view

  • Another view of perhaps another unnoticed part of the south bank in London.. or at least unnoticed for me until few days ago.. I like the view from here and the perspective and composition do for me !

  • Taken on the streets of York and post-processed. I love the olden architecture of this town. The mis-shapen houses on the verge of crumbling, the faded old colours and the wonderful wrought iron lamps.

  • Shadows of clouds moving over the Peak District on the outskirts of the village of Flash, the highest village above sea-level in England, looking over the Derbyshire Peaks towards the spa town of Buxton. Nikon D70s / Tamron 18-200

  • Straw bales in an English field, just before the storm broke.

  • St Pauls Cathedral London England Europe in Black and White

  • under the rain of course!

  • Tynemouth Priory was founded early in the 7th century. / In 800 the Danes plundered Tynemouth Priory. / Afterwards the monks strengthened the fortifications sufficiently to prevent / the Danes from succeeding when they attacked again in 832. / However, in 865 the church and monastery were destroyed by the Danes. / At the same time, the nuns of St Hilda, who had come there for safety, were massacred. The priory was again plundered by the Danes in 870. / / The priory was destroyed by the Danes in 875. / The small parish church of St Mary remained. / This Chapel is behind the Blue door. / When entering it is truly stepping back in time.

  • views: 433 / favs: 15 Image straight from the camera. Taken on January 11, 2009 with an Olympus FE-340 It was the first day of the year that the weather in London was beautiful so I spent the day outdoor walking through the parks, and the squirrels are very friendly. This particular shot was in Green Park. While I was trying to set-up my camera to take a photo, this little guy suddenly climbed up my leg! (I missed the opportunity to take its picture while it was there) I looked down at it, and it looks to the side as though saying “I didn’t do anything…” (see image in first comment), then it runs behind me and tries to climb up my knapsack; then runs in front me, spirals up the pole and pokes its head to the side going “Peek-a-boo!” After it climbed down I brought my hand out. It grabbed my finger for a little while, but took off before I could get a picture then :-( ... But atleast I captured the funny Peek-a-boo moment! The light and dark areas in the eye may look like the iris and the sclera of the eye, but that is actually caused by reflections; The dark bit at the bottom left corner of the eye is a reflection of myself with the camera:

  • Taken on a very rare snowy morning in Bristol on my way to work. / Its the first time I have shot in the snow and the first time I have used my new tripod, so I was able to get nice slow speeds with a tight aperture. / A little work in PS to correct the colour and sharpen etc. Taken with a Nikon D70 and a CPL.

  • London 2009, Capital city of England ! View from the Tower Bridge !

  • Taken on February 28, 2009 with an Olympus FE-340. I know, there are probably many images of the Gherkin here already. But for myself who is not British, it was really exciting to get close to it. London is rich in history, but meanwhile you can also see a lot of modern architecture being developed and taking over; and we’re also moving towards building up, so our tall skyscrapers over shadow history in place and time. Here the Gherkin already looks much taller than the old buidlings in front. But for a better idea of scale (sound familiar? :P)... As you can see, one glass diamond is already about the height of a person.

  • Yes I’m jumping back to a London based pic. This was an image I had included in my London calendar which I did not have displayed publically before but now I’ve decided to show it. Despite the blue sky and sunshine this day was in fact VERY cold. Taken with an Olympus FE-340 on January 31, 2009. Tower Bridge; London, UK. This work has been featured in: / 4 Winners Only

  • Wales, UK / Nikon D300 / Nikkor 18-200mm / HDR in Photomatix Pro / 1 shot, handheld / PP in PS CS3 including Orton Effect
