  • Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Beach Series’ card by Karin Taylor Hula Hips is a mixed media production on paper impressed with a canvas texture. I use a combination of ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic paint. I like to use pastel over the top of acrylic, allowing the acrylic to show through a bit. Hula Hips is a really out there kinda girl, loves life and lives it to the full! A nice happy birthday card this would make :D

  • A stunning Scottish sunset behind a wind farm near Thurso on Scotlands North coast. The low lying fog really sets the turbines off. One of my favourites.

  • Another one in my series MOODWALL Energy Energy is the ability or capacity to do work. Several forms of energy include / heat, chemical energy, and, according to the theory of relativity and mass; other forms of energy are associated with the transmission of light, sound, and electricity. Energy and work are measured in the same units: joules, ergs, electron-volts, calories, foot-pounds, or some other, depending on the system of measurement being used. When a force acts on a body, the work performed (and the energy expended) is the product of the force and the distance over which it is exerted. Potential energy is the capacity for doing work that a body possesses because of its position or condition. For example, a weight lifted to a certain height has potential energy because of its position in earth’s gravitational field. Kinetic energy, the energy a body possesses because it is in motion, is equal to 1/2mv2, where m is its mass and v is its velocity. The average kinetic energy of the atoms or molecules of a body is measured by the temperature of the body. Energy (or its equivalent in mass) can be neither created nor destroyed (law of conservation of matter and energy), but it can be changed from one form into another.

Background Information: / A wind turbine is a rotating machine which converts the kinetic energy in wind into mechanical energy. If the mechanical energy is used directly by machinery, such as a pump or grinding stones, the machine is usually called a windmill. If the mechanical energy is then converted to electricity, the machine is called a wind generator, wind turbine, wind power unit (WPU), wind energy converter (WEC),or aerogenerator. This article discusses electric power generation machinery. Windmill discusses machines used for grain-grinding, water pumping, etc. The article on wind power describes turbine placement, economics and public concerns. The wind energy section of that article describes the distribution of wind energy over time, and how that affects wind-turbine design. See environmental concerns with electricity generation for discussion of environmental problems with wind-energy production. • Just like sisters we work as a team / Together we laugh and cry and dream / Everyone tells us we women fight just like cats / But in each others hearts we know love lasts / We try to be strong when life gives us downs / We pick up one another when we’re wearing frowns / Not a single one of us knows what lies ahead / But we’ll take it one day at a time instead / For the future we know might part us few / But we’ll all stay within heart, the thing to do / I love you all dearly, ask anyone around / For we’re together forever and forever we’re bound… / tkrosevear 11/1/08 I was reminded of the Wise Women Tradition being the spiral, by my dear sister Cher, also reminded that it is a cycle that moves through time… This artwork started as a fractal in apophysis, played with in photoshop7, etc… but it kept growing as has my circle of women here on RB that I’ve grown attached to and depend upon, just to brighten my day with seeing an icon or two or three. Just wanted to share some appreciation and reflect upon the energies, love and support that we all share here…We are the ones we’ve been waiting for sisters… Sisters are doin’ it for themselves

  • Color represents a rate of vibration, or a harmony within our energy field. The colors have different vibrations, properties and represent different levels of awareness. We even choose to wear colors that harmonize with our own energetic field. Red – energy / Orange – energy, peace / Yellow – peace / Green – healing & growth / Blue – spirituality / Torquoise – healing & spirituality / Indigo – spirituality & divine protection / Purple – wisdom, knowledge & divine protection / Pink – love / Gray – fear / Black – unknown & unconscious / White – truth & purity / Brown – grounding This is a photograph of a prism crystal close-up that I played with in Redfield plug-ins (fractilius) in photoshop7 Colors of the Wind

  • Worms are so last year

  • Momentum, Energy, Love, Pain… bring it on.

  • This is the first in a limited series of Divine Goddess paintings. This is the finished 16×20 inch piece. I started the process with seven individual pencil/pastels. Each pastel was a visual that I had been given in a dream for this painting. I then scanned all seven of the finished pieces individually into Photoshop where I outlined the art and worked with the brightness and contrast. Next I positioned the pieces together in one document and had a fine art printer print the piece out full size onto an exceptional watercolor paper. This print was now my under-painting. On top of this print I added the final pastels, pencils and paint over the whole surface to finish the piece. The finished work of art is a true harmony of traditional time tested art mediums and techniques with the new electronic tools available today. If you are interested in a print or the original please contact me at – hinkleart@charter.net. Because of the amazing support here on RedBubble I am offering the Original for sale here first. I have brought the price of the original down to $700 and the 16×20 in. signed and numbered prints down to $300 as a thank you to all of my new exceptionally talented friends here in this creative community. The Energy this piece carries is the Higher vibration of Passion. This piece will help arouse your physical and mental Passion. It will wake you – and help you discover your life’s Passion.

  • I have always been intrigued by the Myth, the Magic, and the Mystery of Celtic art and symbols. / The snake was a complex Celtic animal symbol that combined many ideas that were very important the Celts. The snake represented the process of creation, rebirth, fertility, and healing. Serpents also were perceived to be the connection between the rivers and seas as well as the Heavens and Earth. In Celtic Mythology, the snake both protected the entrance to the Otherworld and acted as the gods’ companion. Ouroboros, the Earth Serpent represented the coiled energy within the Earth and, with her tail in her mouth, infinity. Thanks to the annual shedding of its skin, the snake was the Celtic animal symbolizing the cyclical nature of life. Here I have shown a Celtic Priestess standing in the cool river stream holding one of her many sacred snakes. She is looking over her shoulder at you while she performs one of her regular morning rituals of cleansing her Body and Soul of unwanted dirt and negative Energy… sending it all back to Mother Earth to balance and then redistribute. I finished this Marker, pencil and chalk pastel on very soft and velvety off-white drawing paper to give it a rough out of focus feel. I spent more time on the river background in the under-painting so you could tell that it was a stream of running water.
