This is a poem about my life spent living with a mean drunk. I am in the process of shedding the skin I had to grow just so I could keep breathing in that life. Let me just say, it was mighty hard. But…light cannot be covered; it always finds a way to shine.

  • Love Endures (For Sally Omar)
    by Obadiah-Qi

and so I extend my hand to bear your burden / as a friend you’ve never known / until that time when courage no longer requires you

Even though I don’t know Sally Omar, I see from other’s comments that she is experiencing a great tribulation, so in good Christian conscience I wrote a quick piece in her honor. I pray God wills you the strength you’ve earned in life Miss Omar, as by the examples our lives extend so too the depth of caring he preserves within us as tribulation finds its unwanted place about us. I pray this simple poem is appropriate and in a semblance of caring and good taste. God bless you always….
