(I AM NOT AN ARTIST I AM JUST A MAN WHO PAINTS.L.S.LOWRY).... I have been painting as an amateur artist on and off for many years.I have over the years developed a very unusual use of colour and content, which I now know from experience appeal to many people, Including individual collectors and dealers. Newcastle upon Tyne England has been a hotbed of heavy Industry since the beginning of the industrial revolution, most of which has now gone forever. A lot of my paintings are recollections of youthful images of the period, late 1940s and 1950s. They are inspired by local naïve and primitive pitmen artists I am also an admirer of L.S.LOWRY, and the great American artist EDWARD HOPPER .AND GRANMA MOSES among others. Urgh… This is for all the frustrated Graphic Designers out there – we have feelings too you know people, we aren’t just bloody monkeys! All done in photoshop, again I might come back to this. I have all these idea’s in my head but I really struggle to truely finish a piece, not sure if I’m happy with this or not! Based on a concept of creativity is often found outside of the box and not in a closed off mind. To all you “pain in the ass” clients! lol Two pieces of stock from the ever wondrous`lockstock @ deviant.

Karmenu (Carmelo-Charles) is an 83 year old retired post office supervisor. Weather permitting, he is brought to this spot in the Romeo Romano Garden, in Santa Venera, Malta, by his daughter, Mary, who lives just across the street from this small enclosed Garden. She constantly keeps her eyes on him from the first-floor balcony of her house. Alone on this bench, enjoying the Autumn Sun, in this peaceful and quiet place, he’s probably thinking of his time in the service during WWII, when he used to deliver messages and despatches on a motorcycle through unlit country roads at night during air-raids. He might even be thinking of the youngest of the three sons who emigrated to the USA and lost his life in Vietnam, or his other son and daughter who are in Australia and whom he’s not seen for the last 20 years. His thoughts might even be of his late wife Evelyn who passed away 12 years ago after a very short illness. Of the happy moments they shared together at the birth of one of their four sons and two daughters, and the sadness at the death of the other two of their babies. Who knows besides him where his thoughts might venture? The expression on his face never betray his thoughts as when approached, he’s always found with a happy smile on his face, a probable ‘Thank you Dear Lord for granting me another day to savour Your Greatness ‘
