Another classic sarcastis line I heard somewhere, although I can’t place the person. regardless, I found it amusing =) Though a tough decision, I think this is one of my favourite shirts of mine at the moment. Although its ironic and sarcastic, I also think it sums up half of the wokring world out there. I often find that a lot of people aren’t passonately into what they do, they’re just doing it becuase they have to and don’t take an active role in their employment, which this shirt quite blatantly displays.
We captured this image of first responders to a sports utility vehicle roll-over accident which occured while we were canvassing downtown for photo opp’s. Fortunately, everyone survived the accident.. We salute these incredible individuals who deal on a daily basis with mortality & the fragility of life. Chad & Gary

This is the second one in the “I Hate” series. / Spread your wings and fly away!
Workers ascended the 25’ iron ladder and enter beneath the pipe that extends through the 6’ door (sort of), and make their way down the dark and narrow rock passageway to the shaft. At times, the floor of the passage is wet and slippery, as would be the next ladder, descending into the deep shaft. An MSHA nightmare! A subtle blending of elegant color against a midnight black. A simple yet beautiful way to say Thank You.
A foggy morning in Texas
The Brooklyn Bridge from an Amtrak train. Taken with a Kodak DX7630. Sold one of these prints.
A couple caught in a touching moment at a summer concert Camera info: Kodak DX7630 zoom digital; shutter speed 1/8 sec; f-stop f/4.8; ISO 200; focal length 21.3mm; no flash Your helpful critique is welcome.
It had been raining every weekend for three or four weekends in a row. Most of the time I don’t mind rain, even on the weekends, but cabin fever was setting in. I started playing around with my Nikon, just shooting stuff inside the house; then I looked out the windows to the back yard and saw the lawn chairs in the rain and water puddles. In most of the shots I was focusing on the chairs or puddles. In the last 3 or 4 shots I tried to get the rain on the window. And this is what showed up! Hope you like it as much as I do. Camera info: Nikon D40X; f-stop: 4.0; ISO 450; focal length: 55.0mm; no flash; metering mode: pattern Photographed outside of Richmond, TX
The skies are bigger in Texas! And that makes for some awesome sunsets. I couldn’t believe how blue the sky was against the oranges and reds! Taken just outside of Richmond, Texas in our subdivision Nikon D40X, f4.0, ISO 200, focal length 18.0mm, no flash
Took this at my brother’s house in the country. Love the angle and the color of the window against the wood. I tweaked a little to darken the window to get the blue in the sky to show better, and the paint on the wood to age a little more. Nikon D40X
Driving on a back road home from the post office in Richmond, Texas, and had my camera with me. Shot this through the window of my Jeep! Can’t believe it came out so well! Nikon D40X

New York City from the Amtrak train, overlooking the Bronx and the Upper East Side with Manhattan in the distance. It was late afternoon and I think the sunlight reflected here and there off the roofs is intriguing. Kodak DX7630, f/4, 1/350s, ISO 100, 10.7mm
I snapped this shot from the Amtrak train riding through New York City and the burroughs while on the way to Connecticut. I thought for the longest time that it was an abandoned barge. Still thought it was pretty cool. While watching the History Channel’s Life After People I found out what it really was. It is/was the loading dock for the now defunct Riverside Hospital, located on North Brother Island, not far from Rikers Island. Did a little post-processing with a texture and some burning and this is the result. Many thanks to resurgere @ deviantart.com for the background texture. Kodak DX7630
My good boy looking at his Mummy. All the dog lovers will understand. (Taken in our home in Richmond, TX) Nikon D40X, f/5.6, 1/13s, ISO 200, 55.0mm
Driving by this restaurant the other day (outside of Rosenberg, TX) and the sun was just right. Had to shoot it… Nikon D40X, f/20, 1/200s, ISO 400, 18-55mm lens@30mm
Wave crashing on the lava rock on the Big Island of Hawaii… ah, paradise… Nikon D40X, f/4.0, 1/3s, ISO 100, 18-55@19.0mm
