  • This Too Shall Pass
    by Esum

I’m not gonna pretend that I’ve never been up against / Hell on earth, My demons repent with a fiery vengeance

I have never been drawn to somebody like the person in this song. This is definitely based on a true story from my life. “I whispered in her ear and tell her I dont wanna let you go” ... I said that on my front porch. It was one of those I know you want me and I want you but for other reasons we cant be together. Well, I couldn’t “just be friends” so I told her I cannot continue this and if she couldn’t take a chance on me I can’t be in her life. As it says in the end of the song … “I wish I could stop you” ... I did. She is the love of my life and my future wife.

  • An Artificial Emotion (The Impossibility of Happiness)
    by stolypin

In everyone a scientist and a poet; a cynic and a child. Strive to be in darkness, but close one’s eyes and see a light; / to become ha…

Life is full of such a vast kaleidoscope of emotions, but to be happy we must focus on but a small section of it. When the futility of being is laid bare before us, it is only human nature to focus on it, or allow it to pervade our minds, to darken all we see. Blindness, then, is an inextricable part of happiness; a necessary ineptitude. The question remains though; if we knowingly blind ourselves, if we close our eyes in order to see the light, is our happiness not undermined? Does it not become false, intangible, unbearably weak? Through our inner labyrinth we must persist always towards this goal; to accept the impossible, to be happy in the darkness of the world, feeling it all around us, without hiding from it. / © Stolypin 2008 “please don’t steal from me.”
