Take a chance on love. =)
Same version but in dark color T’s
A small art tribute to the troops here and overseas… “Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way” – General George Patton – - whom my grandfather served under during WWII.
Another version, with General Patton’s quote – “Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way.” in tribute of my grandfather who served in WWII. Also to the all armed forces here and overseas
Another version… final – with “Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way” by General Patton, whom my grandfather served under during WWII.
Same design, but added with the American flag in the background, no words.
No words, just the design itself.
Instead of black, the American flag is the replacement. No words. Just the image itself.
/ / OIL PAINTING / Image Copyright © 2008 JANE À PARIS The original title was: / THE KNIGHT – CONFINED TO MOVE IN THE SHAPE OF AN ‘ELLE’ I had to shorten the title for the print to: THE KNIGHT Many of my paintings are about the psychological torture I have had to endure for years because of politics. The political cage I am kept in by the police and others is often referred to and is like a game of chess, and if I was in one of the pieces on the board, I would probably think of myself as the ‘Knight’. This is because this piece is confined to a very unique and difficult shape of movement, and strategy with this piece can be very difficult. Being confined to movement in the shape of an ‘Elle’ is also a play on words, because my tormentors use sexual inuendo and abuse all the time to try to make me feel confined to cages within my sexuality and sexual relationships. In other words, I am not allowed to progress on my own, or at least I am made to feel this way. Unless I am in a sexual relationship with a man, I have no power of my own. Much of the psychological torment they use involves mirrors, and my potential mate would be a reflection of my state (prison), a person who is being kept bound and is being forced to play a game too, whether they want to or not, that is part of the reality that anyone would have to face who was in a relationship with me. The colors have representational meaning too, the blacks and whites represent that everything is seen very harshly in order to control me, my personal information is used as a tool to control and manipulate me, and the only grays are around the smoking areas, or cigarettes, (they use smoking and cigarettes to signify sexuality), that is where sexuality comes into play, then my oppressors become softer, if I fall back into the sexual cage they prefer and master to keep me in. This is why the Knight is between two smoking cigarettes. The ashtrays also represent the leftovers of my sexual relationships, because my oppressors try make me feel that is all I am allowed to have, sexual relationships, and if I am not in a sexual relationship then all I have is ashes (nothing). Being trapped between the smoking ashtrays represents the fact that this piece is trapped in a game and being kept relatively powerless, although the Knight can have power sometimes in some instances, but again it is usually in a sexual mode (the night). There are also grays in the hair (which is used to signify sexuality too), and the eye (which is forced to view the world as safer through a sexual relationship). The red represents the physical violation of my body, and the physical pain and torment I have been put through and made to endure endlessly. The gold borders represent monetary torture as well. With a man I have money, however since I am being kept powerless on my own, because they won’t let me have any power, the reality then is that I have no money either. There are many other psychological implications in this painting however this is enough to expand on now, I am tired. / KEEPERS

Sometimes You Just Don’t Belong Where Life Puts You.
People just don’t understand me. I need my space, that’s all. What’s wrong with that? I’m not mean. I’m not bad tempered. I’m very a nice person. Just leave me alone, turn down your ring tones, go out with your cell phone calls, don’t ask to share my fries, don’t tell me what you think, and keep your stupid ugly dog out of my yard!
I like this as a shirt.
