Reeshofpark, Tilburg. A photography turned into a digital painting. Having my daughter just picked up from her school on one Friday in November 2007, we ran through the local park to be in time for her ballet class. We were nearly too late, because in the park I couldn’t leave this lovely autumn scene behind me without taking a camera out of the bag! / I love it in big format, so this is a procedure how to make a nice print out of a photograph taken by a simple 2MB digital compact: / - photograph a lovely scene (important!) / - upload the file into your computer / - use software wisely to improve it. / What I did with this one: / - first, in Picasa: Feelin’ lucky, color temperature, sharpen, glow, gradtint / - second, in GIMP: scale, oilify, add frame if desired I hope you will like the result as much as I do. This is a new style of image of the Royal Exchange in London, England. This image is designed for wall art on print or canvas or as a download and uses HDR technology to show a massive range of colours over this scene. We have night sky lit up purple as well as the bright reds, yellows and greens from the surrounding office buildings. The depth of detail and colour is made possible through combining three images as different exposures and creating this slightly surreal look at the heart of the English capitol.

This is one of the best phtographs I have ever taken. I managed to take this image almost by chance. I had began the evening in the City and walked back from the Royal Exchange to St Pauls phtographing as I went. Once I had crossed the bridge I had intended stoping but decided to try one more shot from the river bank. I didn’t even give this image much of a chance, I took only two or three exposures and left it at that. When I reviewed the images the next day I realised this was the best of the whole evening which goes to show you can never be sure what you’re going to come back with when you go out taking photographs. We have the historic St Pauls Cathedral lined up with the Millennium Bridge as it crosses the river Thames in London England. This photo was taken just after sunset and we are treated an amazing wealth of colour. A stunning purple haze has been cast over the river and the cathdreal and the lights on the oopostie bank help to add character and detail to the great image. This photo would be perfect as and advertising image for commercial use or for personal us as a peace of wall art on either canvas or print or in any other medium.

This is one of the most interesting photographs I have ever taken. This image was taken on the centre of the Millennium Bridge over the river Thames leading up to St Pauls Cathedral at night. We have an amazing sky of red, orange, blue and purple of the City of London with the lights of the bridge really highlighting and drawing us into the historic centre of the city St Pauls which ahs also been illuminated. The truely interesting part of this photo is that there has been just enough light to show a ghostly shaddow of some of the passers by, none are possible to make out as only the outline of their bodys have been left but it gives us this amazing ghost effect reminding us of the thousands of people who pass over this bridge to the spiritual economic centre of the city.

This is a tuely beautiful image of the world famous dome that sits at the top of St Pauls Cathedral in the heart of London in the City of Westminster. This image was taken during the night time hours and has some really strong colours, the sky is an amazing orange highlighting the details of this historic building. I took this photograph recently on a trip to London but I wasn’t intending to photograph this building, I had been in the City near the Bank of England and had been taking photos around that area and decided I would walk back to Waterloo station rather than taking the tube as the Waterloo & City line had closed and so this would be quicker. On passing the Cathedral to head across the Thames there was no way I could resist turning around and trying to get an image of this amazing site, I think I’m glad the tube I needed was closed.

This is a photograph of the city of London by night, it has an amazing range of colours with strong reds and blues from this evening light. The photo was taken from the South Bank of the river thames in the centre of the city of London and shows the financial heart of the English capitol. We can see the city of Westminster also simply called ‘the City’ from St Pauls on the left to the Geherkin on the right and the NatWest Tower or No. 42 in between. At the front of the image is the river Thames and Blackfriers bridge which seem to fram the image against the deep blue sky. This stikeing photograph is one of favourites and it really shows the beauty and calmness that can be found even in the most built up of urban areas.

This is a photograph showing the famous ‘City’ area of London including St Pauls Cathedral, NatWest Tower (no. 42), the Gherkin and Blackfriers bridge from the river thames in daylight. There is a strong blue sky with perfect white clouds over the heart of the UK finance and the centre of this urban metropolis. This image was taken from the South Bank as is one of the most famous in the British capitol.
