A series of images taken as a tribute to the 1940’s. Some images are in black and white and some in color but all reflecting some facet of the sadness and joy of this emotional era. I have purchased this calendar and i am very pleased with the results. The quality of the paper, color reproduction, layout etc is of a high standard and so i am happy to present it for sale.

I love people. They are not always happy or sad. Sometimes they are alone. Sometimes things are not going well. Sometimes they are feeling things that we do not really even understand. When I see their emotions, I feel for them. I then do everything I can to bring these feelings and emotions to the world through my work.

The images on this calendar were taken at the 2009 Bangalow Festival of Music, a wonderful classical music festival held near Byron Bay, NSW, Australia. In taking these images I was conscious of wanting to offer people an insight into the passion of the performance, a side that only performers see and feel. / It was a deeply emotional experience for me, I found that I was shooting to the music, as if I was playing it with my camera. An experience I will never forget.

This calendar is a collection of black and white images that I created in the year 2009 for the year 2010. When laying this work out I enjoyed seeing common muses in my collection, one being that amount of “pairs,” that I photographed as well as an attention to focus on images where subject were turning inward. Neither of these similarities were intentional as a grouping and I think this is a good representation of where my eye and my work were going for one solid year. ENJOY. This is my first calendar.
