Taken in phuket thailand, i spotted this mother grooming her child and thought it would be a interesting photo. just as i snapped, the baby monkey looked straight at me, whiched made for a very intamate photograph. i hope you all enjoy.

This image is part of a seven-part series, a study of attitudes and emotions using the same basic setup and changing only the lighting, backdrop color and pose/expression. Attitudes Series A triptych is a three-panel art work. There is not, as far as I know, any agreed-upon name for a seven panel piece… after all, who wants to hang something called a septych on their wall? / if it sounds like a good idea to you, say it out loud… also, what kind of wallspace do you have, anyway? However it strikes me that any three of these might make a nice triptych… therefore I present the Mix’n’Match Triptych: 56 possible combinations! ;)

Until last year I never thought about the different kinds of sunflowers. But then I passed along a field full of these flowers. Luckily I had my camera with me. I enjoyed taking shots of these wonderful flowers. The colours were so vibrant and everywhere around me were bumblebees or honey-bees humming and swirling from one flower to another. / This sunflower seemed to suffer from a bad hair day, don’t you think? It looked so sad between her “sisters” with shorter petals. /
