  • Captured out on the plains of Eastern Colorado at Sunset, they just went on for miles and miles….like a fantasy world of never ending Sunflowers..processed in HDR

  • Shot this morning, a 3 bracket HDR image, output through Photoshop and Photomatix. As I said I was moving out to the country, and the photo-opps are numerous! :) I have always found scenes like this in rural America almost iconic in a sense, the ever enduring struggle of the American Farmer vs Government and big Corporate America. When I saw this I just stopped dead in my tracks, what you don’t see is the ranch house which was built about 30 years ago all boarded up….just sitting there….it really is just sad, seeing these open fields go to waste, the barn empty, with rusty farm equipment, harking back to when a family made an honest living off the land and the crops they raised. Part of America forever lost, part of a families tradition gone, forever. So goes life at times on the Eastern Plains of Colorado….... Thoughts welcomed ..the song below simply says it all…... —-—-—-—-—-—-—— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. • My German Shep Klaus, just kinda playing around with him with my 50mm f1.7, he can make a fun model :) I went for the B&W because I really wanted to bring out a sense of emotion and drama in him. See more of my work on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com

  • I couldn’t really think of a title for this shot, I tend to really be bad at doing that and well, the title of this kinda just popped in my head….I was just getting ready to leave Washington Park in Denver, when I happened to glance over and noticed this, and it just sorta caught my eye, the color, the light, the symmetry of the whole scene…so I went ahead and swung my tripod around and shot a few of the scene. Processed in HDR, let me know what ya think! More of my work can be seen on my website at jdebordphoto.com

  • Ive never tried something like this before. Never an artwork emotionally so intense. Would love to thank sandra baraci for the wonderful collab. She has been painting the stunning image of `tracie76 portrait for a while now, which she abandoned in the middle. I really wanted to complete it in my form, and I did. / She says she found the motivation back again to finish the canvas, which is an honour . Thankyou both of you for the wonderful experience.

  • I recreated my Fear into another piece called Dark Tears. This image was created for the redbubble challenge called Happy / / I must rate myself on a scale from 1-10 (1 being seriously depressed, 10 being the happiest) and then create self-portrait expressing that state. At moments in my life, this portrait of myself shows how I feel. Sometimes I feel like I’m being haunted by pain and taken away into the darkness. In this portrait, I feel at the lowest, a number 1, because when I’m feeling so down, I cry dark tears! A collaboration with Stefan Sagmeister one of the world’s most creative and inspiring designers.

  • all done in Corel X 2 / Lady Of Many Emotions / !
