Originally draw with .05 pen in my A6 sketchbook.. sometimes when i can’t get to sleep, i’d take out my lil sketchbook and doodle as i listen to my (now dead) ipod.. i find it rather relaxing to doodle in the dark.. i don’t need to worry about details.. no worries about me spoiling/hurting my eyes.. i hardly bother to squint.. to me, am just doodling with what little light i get from my brother’s room.. the point of sketching in the dark is to not worry about details and mistakes. so i won’t be stressed about making mistakes.. =D / textured and colored in photoshop.. The feeling of freedom, to breathe once again and feel the wind as it sweeps across the open fields. I feel the solitude and the tranquility, lift my face and feel the purity of the air, it envelopes me stroking me and i embrace it willingly. Here i could lay me down and die in the arms of the elements all alone slipping into eternal conciousness…...........into the arms of my Beloved Maker…........... Won the One Plus Sky challenge – November 8, 2009 Photo taken July 19, 2009 at the Kent Hills Wind Farm just outside Moncton, New Brunswick. It currently consists of 32 wind turbines. These things are huge! I climbed the stairs to the service door and looked up. This is probably my favourite shot of the day because these 2 blades look like arms embracing the wind and (hopefully) the future of better energy sustainability. One of the turbines recently caught fire, causing approximately $5 000 000 in damage.

A 3 shot HDR Processed in Photomatix Pro This is a weird, slightly creepy and incredibly intriguing sculpture by a run down barn in the middle of a field somewhere between Henley and Reading. “The Nuba Embrace” Several people have asked about the sculpture that has appeared by Copyhold Barn; it is called “The Nuba Embrace” and is by John Buckley. John created the sculpture on his return from a visit to the Nuba Mountains in central Sudan in 2000- 2001 where he was a guest of the Nuba Rehabilitation, Relief and Development Organisation (N.R.R.D.O.) during the time of the genocide. He witnessed first hand a mass attempt to wipe out a cultural identity through ethnic cleansing, slavery and fierce attacks on the traditional homelands. More recently there has been a fragile cease fire in the Nuba Mountains (the same agreement that is currently barely holding in Darfur) and when John returned to the region in January this year he says that, despite the suffering, he experienced a sense of resistance living in everyone he met. John finds it difficult to talk about his work (like most artists) but hopes that the sculpture asks the question “What is the future for the Nuba people?” and reminds us that in this ever-shrinking world we are never far away from what is happening in places such as the Nuba Mountains. / Is This Love ?? / / Rustic Skelentons
