OLD AD PAINTED ON A BUILDING
A little fun with textures. I experimented with a pencil sketch I had done a while back. The story, as always suggested itself while the drawing was evolving… With the fluids still pumping through his veins, the Pharaoh stumbled across the sandy wastes. His preparation for the after-life had not gone well and he suspected that his awakening had happened, just a little too early. His brain was foggy and his tongue felt thick and heavy in his mouth. He had asked for the miniaturisation process, but how far had they progressed, he wondered, before the disturbance. Something else was wrong, why did his head feel so huge? He stumbled on. I’m not seeing too well either, he thought, then he made the mistake of trying to rub his eyes. His scream would have awoken the rest of the sleeping pharaohs, if he could have opened his mouth.
Hollywood, 2007.
Jeremy finished loading the bodies in the back of the truck. What a fine day. He would haul, drain and embalm and then get some rest.

Halloween still life. Four bottles of evil elixers and a skull on an old wooden shelf. An evil clown looks on from behind, perhaps to prepare a special cocktail just for you! Happy Halloween!
I had no eternal organs, no teeth, no blood… My blood was replaced with embalming fluid, but I didn’t feel any different than I did yes…
Based on a true nightmare
