  • Icon #2 Point Ormond I am doing a St Kilda/ Elwood icon series. / I wanted to get the Point Ormond beacon. But when I climbed up there last night I realised the base had recently been encased in concrete and it looks horrible. / So I wandered down to the beach and took a shot of the city from Elwood with the beacon in the top right hand corner. I hope you like it. ICON Series / / / /

  • Went to take some shots at Point Ormond Elwood a little while ago. After I’d taken shots I started walking home. I turned around to see where my dog was and this is what I saw. A kid flying a kite against a beautiful sunset. The structure is the Point Ormond beacon. OTHER BEACH SHOTS: OTHER BEACH SHOTS: / /

  • An old abandoned pier at Elwood beach on a stormy evening, weather was shithouse and this is the only pic i managed to take before running to the car and going home!

  • These shots are my favourites of the beautiful coastline in Australia. Particularly Victoria and Tasmania. / It’ll make your heart smile and your soul sing. / Not a bad return for a few bucks :)

  • Taken at Elwood Beach.

  • This was a photograph that I was lucky to capture. I was leaving Elwood Beach when out of the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was an incredibly interesting moment between dog owner, dog and toddler. This was taken using black and white film and scanned digitally, then adjusted to suit. Featured in Candid Photography / April 2009.

  • I just happened to take my camera with me when I took my dog Jess, to the local beach. Jess decided it was much nicer lying on the beach than walking on it so I just lay opposite her and fired off a few shots. She’s very used to me taking shots so she just waited patiently for me to finish. Nikon D3 / 17-35mm lens / f/2.8

  • Huge crashing waves meant I got wet. Tripod got wet. Camera got wet. Ah, but where’s the fun in keeping dry. On another note, my photo Half Time won the Hawaiian Skyscapes challenge in the “Skyscapes Group”http://www.redbubble.com/skyscapes Canon 400d + SIgma 10-20mm @ f11

  • Evening shot at Elwood beach, looking over Port Phillip Bay towards Westgate Bridge (Melbourne, Australia). Scan from slide.

  • 365 days in a year, 365 seconds in this shot. I swear this pier is in a more damaged state every time I visit it! / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. FL: 20 mm 365 seconds @ f18, ISO 100 ND8 Graduated and Polarising Filters Adobe Lightroom 2 & Adobe Photoshop CS4 / Features Featured in The Ashes Group on the 20th of May 2009 Featured in the Dawn & Dusk Light Group on the 17th of May 2009 Featured in the UK to Australia and back Group on the 17th of May 2009 Featured in the Piers and Jetties Group on the 16th of May 2009 Click here for my other seascapes

  • While juggling my camera and an umbrella in very strong winds, I managed to shoot this at sunset last night. The waves were absolutely bashing the jetty, lifting the boards right up as the waves forced themselves underneath. The timbers were moving so much from the wind and waves I was sure it was going to finally fall to the elements.

  • Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20mm / 10 second exposure @ f16 / Exposure and Shadow adjusted in Adobe Lightroom. I do like Piers. This one looks like it’s seen better days though. I don’t know how long it will still be (barely) standing. A little busy these days, will hopefully look at all the new work shortly. Enjoy your week!
