The dark elf rested on the rock face, taking the moment to wipe the last trace of blood from her blade. The dull light made her eyes ache, and she wished again that she was miles underground… Thanks to Kym Breeze for being an awesome sport and coming out with me for the day for a fantasy-themed photo session! She was a great model, not too demanding LOL!

The Aos Sidhe (pronounced “ess shee”), are a powerful, supernatural race comparable to the fairies or elves of other traditions. / They live in an invisible world that coexists with the world of humans. / The Gaelic Otherworld is seen as being closer at the times of dusk and dawn, therefore this is seen as a time special to the Aos Sidhe, as are some of the festivals such as Samhain and Midsummer. The Aos Sidhe are generally described as stunningly beautiful, though they can also be terrible and hideous. I cursed myself for walking too deep into the forest and missing seeing the sunset from the view point high on the hillside like i intended, but the evening rays brought colour to the forest like I wouldnt have imagined. / The forest is very much still in green, but the backlighting from the sunset has given such warmth to the leaves. As it was so late in the day, this is a 1 second exposure. other photos from the forests around my home / / Loki’s Forest

This is my first digital artwork, I started with a pencil sketch which I scanned in, and painted over in Adobe Photoshop CS. / I’ve had a few comments about the neck and chest being too long and the cloak is not quite ‘flowing’ enough, which I went back to fix a little, though some problems do remain. Enjoy! =) BTW, the colours look really nice as a canvas print! =P Tools: Photoshop CS and Wacom / Time Consumed: Around 20 hours / Art ©AmberDust 2006

This is the finished (for now!) artwork that had once been called “Conversation Piece.” As Mark Twain said on the art of writing, a good author is never content with his work and always seeks to revise it. So, too, are my 3D art pieces. Feedback is always, always, always, highly encouraged and looked for, not to mention that those providing any are appreciated, thanked, and potentially worshipped ahead of time. / ~~ /

An experimental piece for me, I wanted to try new media and a new style. I look forward to revisiting a similar style on a bigger canvas. This piece was created on illustration board with acrylic inks used in a watercolor technique with some white ink and colored pencil. The lady looks great on cards, so send some one a hello!

It seems the elves have taken it upon themselves to rearrange the plumbing in our kitchen! I’m not really sure about their new arrangement! It seems they found the liquify filter in photoshop and just went berserk!

We bend our minds to understand the rising of the dawn as the rays of light appear and lonely darkness’s gone. We’ve learned in time to wait for it under sheltering stars hidden in the shadows which heal the ancient scars. And touching, we create a glow that travels forth to say “Gather now ye elfin for the coming of the day. Gather now ye elfin stir your ancient souls. We children of the mists arise to make the magic whole. Hear ye this sound a stirring deep within your heart. Gather now your kin to you, it’s time to make a start.”

I really like how it came out, i wanted to do it like an anime show cell shaded people and painted like background. But then at the same time i wanted to keep the background minimalistic and cell shade the way that i do not the way you would normally find in an anime.
