I took this shot in Bateau Bay, which is part of Central Coast New South Wales Australia. Roughly 2 hours above Sydney. I love the glow of sunsets in wet sand and this, broken by the rocks, formed a scene I just had to capture!
Taken while driving over Sea Cliff Bridge between Stanwell Park and Wollongong, about an hour and a half south of Sydney. Definitely worth a look – an architect’s dream!
this is one of the first photographs i ever took for artistc purposes….im afraid its such a low resolution because it was taken on my old old camera when i knew nothing about DPI and all that jazz / its so old in fact it even has the name blackcandi on it !......(my old username) but i thought id show some of my older work…and if anyone wants i am happy to redo this image in a high resolution / so if thats the case just give me a shout :)
This is an image of myself and of Rivers Edge in Tulsa Oklahoma. I used Photoshop CS2 for the editing.

I saw this torn up photo of the Queen at an antique mart in Buenos Aires. I snapped a photo of it and restored it on PhotoShop. I still can’t get over how young she was here. I don’t think I’ve seen her this youthful and beautiful. Sold 1 laminated print to a fan in England.
Socialite and model Elizabeth Hooley. One of my shots showing my style during the 60’s. I have left the banner on in the hopes that this may be considered as a poster. Now it would hardly make a poster without some sort of blurb at the bottom would it!? © 1966 John Hooton Photography

Original acrylic painting on canvas 24” x 30” / I have always loved photography, but it was a means to an end. I wanted ideas for painting. This painting really came from a deep instinct. It was the first time that I just let it happen as I went along. The color seemed to take shape in the back ground and soon I notice that it looked like spirits. Were they guiding me? I think they were. This is an / /

1070 views as of November 2009 Once again a collaboration with the amazing, J-Chans Designs (Model Mayhem #542467). This woman is amazingly talented. She designed the costume, the wig and did the makeup. I can’t wait to work with her again! And the incredibly gorgeous model is Elizabeth Maiden (Model Mayhem#401472) This is just a taste of more to come!!!! It was an incredibly successful shoot. And my first outdoor photo shoot in a long time at a very neat location. It’s an old building near an industrial park near my house which burned down a year or so ago. What’s left is a metal and concrete shell. It made for a great setting. I’m so happy about this shoot! This image was featured on the HomePage of RedBubble! Also see: / © Jessica Walker 2009

My new found love in photography is mixing layers and layers of images. I have already had some wonderful finds of layered work in reflections but this kind of editing brings it to a whole other level. Finding what works well with another image is a challenge. But one that I enjoy very much. I have learned the in’s and out’s of working with layers by trial and error. If you’re thinking of giving this a try, I hope you will give your self time and not worry about the failures. The result is so worth the frustration of figuring it all out!! / / WOW, THANK YOU FOR THE HOME PAGE FEATURE!!! /

As I was growing up, my parents took us on trips up north in Wisconsin to a place called Door County. Door County is the peninsula at the north east side of the state. It’s filled with small harbor towns with names like Bailey’s Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay. In the summer, each town with all it’s quaint shops was filled with visitors from all over the US. When we were there looking out on the vast expanse of Lake Michigan, it was hard to image it as a lake. If felt like the ocean to us…...and the towns reminded us of places we would read about in books on the east coast. / We had such wonderful times going there, but it was always just a visit. One week at the most. / I didn’t realize it at the time, but my mom had a dream. She wanted more than anything to live in Door County. She imagined a farm with a building that would house her Antiques and crafts to sell to the tourists. But my dad was not so keen on this idea. / When my dad passed away at the age of 64, I remember feeling very sad about his loss, but I never doubted that it all happened the way it did for a reason. He would have hated the process of getting really old. I know he wouldn’t have wanted to be a burden. So he went at the perfect time. All ten of his kids were out on their own and he was still able to work and keep busy. That day, when it was his time to go he had even swept the walk, one of his favorite tasks. I’m sure he was glad that he went after the walk was swept and not before. / A few years later my mom married a life long friend, a man who had always been a part of our family. / He never had children and he didn’t really have any family that he kept in touch with, so it was completely natural that we all became his family. I don’t think I realized the mastery of Gods Plan until I wrote the eulogy for my wonderful step dad. He was the one that was meant to make my moms dream come true. Together they found this sweet broken down farm and they lived there every summer for over 10 years. Even though the barn collapsed only a year after buying the place, I always saw it as lit from with in. There was a wonderful energy there. We all miss it more than we could say. But in looking through my photos I found this image of the barn, still standing. I’m not surprised that it turned out this way. With that shining light from with in. / I always let my heart guide me and for this, I am grateful!! /
