This eye is on a very old elephant. He is in the Reid Park Zoo in Tucson. There were two elephants and this one was just swinging his trunk back and forth like he was playing a game with it. This is an African Elephant at the Jacksonville, FL zoo. The African Elephant cools off by spraying its body with water and then flinging dirt on its wet skin. The mud makes a protective coating from the heat.
