This is no ordinary Zoo!! / These animals only come out / when you snooze! / You might see three or four / But usually there are more. Some have socks / And some have spots. / Some have funny noses, / Stripes, and silly poses. / And some have crazy feet / That really do stink! They all like that they are / different and quite unique. / With crazy colors / Like purple and pink. / They do look different / Don’t you think? Some have wings / And some just sing. / Some fly in the sky / And some just walk by. / Some like to swim and swim / And look at you with a funny grin. / They all eat food / like you and me. / blue beans, / green pies, / And even pink wood! / Oh my, this is no ordinary zoo! / Some even wear purple shoes! With purple shoes / And stinky feet / They do look different / Don’t you think? Don’t wake up, / there’s more to come, / see them dancing to the drum? / Just look at them wiggle / and do the silly jiggle. / You can’t help but laugh and giggle. / / Some are tall / Some are fat / And wear silly hats. / Some jump, / some hop, / And some like to shop..!? So red or green, / Purple or pink, / Silly hats / and stinky feet / They are your friends / Don’t you think? They all like / that you are their friend / and want you to come back / to visit again. So when it’s time / to caught a wink, / You will come back / Don’t you think? Now the time has come, / “Wake up sleepy head / And get out of bed. / Let’s go to the zoo / To meet some friends”. The Students of The Academy of Irving ISD, Irving Highschool, and Lorenzo deZavala middle school will be donating thier masterpieces to the Students For Jenny Silent Art Auction. The money raised from the auction will be donated to the construction of a new habitat for Jenny the Elephant. The event takes place Saturday April 18th, 2009 at the Dallas Zoo. Hooray for IRVING ISD!
