Another old story, and yes, it is fanfiction. Sorry ;) I must admit I’m most proud of this story. In its other home at fanfiction.net, this story got more positive comments than anything else I’ve done. I’d love to get feedback and constructive critisism here too!

  • Elementary Intelligent Design
    by ein22

Once labeled as barbaric in practice / Inventing its image as evil witchcraft

I wonder about how some people can possibly believe in Intelligent Design. Biodiversities work in ways that no human will ever be able to appreciate… especially now. Life in a structured ecosystem is too balanced and percise to have been thought of logically, and if it were so, we humans must really think about how much we truly contribute to society, not just among humans but nature it’s self, and see if we truly deserve the right to be in the animal kingdom.

So when I hurt you does it play on your mind? / Oh do those lacerations tingle with spite?

Like so many others, in my younger days I had an idea that i might be able to use words and music to spew my angst out onto the world. My best friend, who had similar ideas was at this time away studying, but would from time to time send me lyrics to work on or maybe to build some semblance of a tune around. This continued for quite a number of years, but again like so many others, the words we wrote rarely went beyond the rooms they were written in. Eventually we began to give eachother single words or phrases where the challenge was to create something semi coherent around that word or phrase. The phrase I was given to include in this piece of writing was “Elementary my dear Watson”. I should apologise for any possibly mysogynistic sounding content, for the fear of being painted in a bad light but in my defence, i had just come out of a long term relationship and was just a tad disappointed by how I had been treated!

  • These kids contributed to help the VAGF. ORG in a big way! Their work alone, almost filled every window we had! This was such a joy, to see these kids having fun, and chanting about their school! They deserved this, and have set the standard very high for all the other schools to have to beat! THIS SCHOOL HAS ALOT OF SPIRIT! I love you, Man! I WANT TO THANK EACH AND EVERY STUDENT, THAT ADDED COLOR TO THIS PROJECT! I WAS EXTREMELY HONORED TO HAVE YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!

  • How wrong she was
    by Arletta

How wrong she was, not to fall apart, not to fade away, not to die wretchedly / On she went, unmindful of chattering twits or twittering …

Actually, I started writing this out of annoyance in regards going to court and being accused of being the predominant cause of lack of communication between me and my Ex – as if .. well, I can’t tell you what might have really been the cause of it, because that would be being less than nice and get me in trouble. All I can do is to change the subject and tell you to watch American Psycho, Sleeping with the Enemy, and .. .err. .whatever that Jennifer Lopez movie is. Then jam them all together in your mind and ask yourself : Would I have trouble communicating with that conglomerate man? However, this is not about court, my Ex, or those movies. This is about before that, grade school nastiness that, for some of us, never stops.

  • This is1st photo of series documenting Mosaic Tile ,Murals and Gardens designed for Frost Elementary through the Mayor of Houston’s Spark Park . “The City of Houston commissions artists for The Sparks School Park Program, a nonprofit initiative to increase park space by developing public school grounds into neighborhood parks. Sams has not only created giant murals for several elementary schools, but designed gardens for the park space as well. / Sams shares her passion as a guest teacher at Travis Elementary School. I seek to help students find that seed of creativity, and when they find it, to value it. Children can create phenomenal works of art.” This is the 2nd Park I have worked on.This project was set it up so the children could contribute where possible and safe for them. / Their theme :a Northbound Train. / Motto:”Failure is Not an Option. / Mascot:Jaguar / Objectives:Design and embellish exterior of 3 buildings, outdoor classroom seating area, entrance Gates to grounds,Mascot presentation and Gardens / Materials:Tile(Hand cracked/selected),jewels marbles, babbles etc. and acrylic Paint. / Basic color pallet:Red,White ,Blue+ tans and black

  • This school was started in 1888 as just a one room school house which you can see to the right of the sign. That entire school house at one time is now the Library. In the early 1960’s the school had built regular classrooms with halls and a cafeteria/stage. Now it also has portable trailers to take on the overflow.
