Oil on canvas, 2006. 1000×1000mm In this painting I am exploring a connection with pure energy and the journey which that entails. It is also, however, speaking of a particular moment on that journey – the moment in which the essence that we all share is transforming. It is a fusion and transmutation of all the elements … fire turning to water, air turning to earth. This could be a small moment or a momentous one – but at that point the entire Universe is at play. One strand connects to another, opposites merge to create a new element. This becomes That, Everything is Everything. A spider can hold the entire essence of fire and water, fire and water can make steam, new possibilities unfold but always hold the original spark of Divinity. Unique but Unified. FOR SALE” The Four Elements “ / I regard this as one of my Masterpieces / price- $ 5,000 au / Acrylic on very thin cotton duck – a stretched canvas / this one is a Huge 177cm x 91cm / It took me many months to paint – and I think it’s just beautiful one of my best! / I have some great photos in my album of how it started / and quite a few photosof the stages in between this painting went through some remarkable transformations to get to the finished stage.. / . I’m proud of this painting because it was such a huge / project to me but..In the end ..the result was very pleasing… I had painted my vision and Ideas about the 4 elements…and it worked..It looked great!! / I will sell this painting because I do need the money , we all want to make a living from what we do best..don’t we..? we have to survive in what way we can and I can’t hang onto all of my paintings forever…I can hang onto some though. If you are interested in this painting..the best and safest way is me to take it off the wooden stretcher and then you have to get it restretched at your end. / it’s in good condition , there is an indentation in the painting at one end of the canvas.. / but this can be fixed in the restretching. I have just had a proffessional artist tell me that the indentation can be easily fixed by wetting the back of the canvas..it’s a very superficial problem.The painting itself is perfect and undamaged with no paint missing at all from this canvas. / / it’s a magnificent painting even if I say so myself… chemis, 1 day ago / it’s a lovely piece, the coloring is very eye catching, full and well layered / nice work! Watercolor and pencil on illustration board, / 15×20 / 2009 Related work: / The Waterman: Unio Mystica This is the second panel of The Waterman triptych. While the central panel represents the Christ as the macrocosm, the side panels are the microcosm, represented by the Four Elements and their manifestation in the physical world. Ignis Aeris is the yang pillar, the elements Fire and Air. Volatile and oriented upward, these elements are connected to the realms of the abstract thinking and intuition. Fire is the energy, passion and primeval instincts, that need to be balanced by the intellect (Air) in order to manifest in a most constructive way. The certainty of the Divine, that comes from the heart and from a primal knowledge, needs to be shaped by the intellect in order to become less aggressive and to expand (the butterflies rising from the fire and flying upward). Only through a perfect combination of faith and reason we can access the Divine and understand Its Laws. At the basis of the picture, handling the creative power of Fire, we see the Magician of the Tarot, which I represented wearing the skin of Nemean Lion, just like Greek hero Herakles. He represents the first step in the Hero’s Journey, or that path that each one of us need to find out and go through in order to become Whole with the Universe. The Magician is the one who uses his power of will (Fire) and mental skills (Air) in order to find his own path.

I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Paint layering process is used in these paintings to create many layers and depths of texture.
