Although the fur industry does its best to keep the cruelty out of sight, suffering is a common ingredient in all methods of procuring fur, from fur factory farming to trapping. Many, perhaps more than half, of these animals are killed specifically for fur trim—it is not a by-product.” / / And it doesn’t end there. So after my grisly death last week, Mrs. Flibble had a go at sticking back my shredded body with some domestic strength wood glue. Apparently it took her quite a while, and she tells me she only had a few bits left over. I think she did a pretty good job, although I’ve yet to try out all bodily functions. Anyway. After a quick jump-start I was left with the arduous task of recharging my brain back up to 30 percent. Any more than that and things can go horribly wrong. You wouldn’t like to see me when I’m 31 percent, let alone 32. Splendid. A couple of points of note: This photo was excruciatingly painful to make. I really did clamp that clip to my ear and it has a mighty strong spring. Lit with two flashes: main was from above camera left through an umbrella and second was from bottom right reflected off something spangly for a bit of fill. Beyond this door is a horror! A chair in the middle of a room that your are strapped to and your life ended with massive volts of electricity, but first you do your best to escape, you can see the dents in the door where the victims have tried so desperately to get out..to no avail . This picture was taken on kodachrome slide film in China in 1982. The slide has not survived the passage of time well and is covered in mould, too much to clean off in photoshop. But, it depicts a rather archaic and dangerous looking contraption, and i thought the grime on the slide augumented the antiquity of the scene, so I decided to upload it anyway.
