Another request from me bro… The name Deadmau5 (pronounced dead mouse) comes from an incident where a mouse crawled into Joel Zimmerman’s computer. MGMT (previously known as The Management) is an American musical group based in Brooklyn, New York consisting of Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden. Originally with New York-based Cantora Records, they signed on with Columbia Records/Red Ink/Sony in 2006. On October 5, 2007, Spin.com named MGMT “Artist of the Day”. On November 14, 2007 Rolling Stone pegged MGMT as a top 10 “Artist to Watch” in 2008. The band was recently named 9th in the BBC’s Sound of 2008 top 10 poll.

Walter is one half of the German Electro Duo, Booka Shade. At live gigs Arno plays digital drums and revvs the crowd up. People go nuts. Walter sits smilingly behind the synth/keys/decks . Most assossciate Booka Shade with Arno’s crazy drumming, but we all know the real magic is the behind the scenes production and live editing of Walter. The synth keys are thus placed in their rightful spot at the heart of Booka Shade.

This is a geeky 80’s design created for the Earth Hour Challenge. / / If you understand it then it means you’re old enough to be a fair contributor to the world energy problem and an equal part of the solution. / / But what is the solution? / / Well it’s clear to me that not just one but a whole range of newer, greener, renewable energy sources will save the day and I believe that people like you and me should be given the option to choose between them on our power bill. Whether they be nuclear, solar, geo-thermal, nano tubes and so on. / / Freedom of choice is what we want. Which is in fact a lyric from that crazy 80’s pop rock band, Devo. / / The red things are the hats Devo alway wear which they call “Energy Domes”, claiming they can actually harvest energy from your own head. / / Now that’s a solution I’d really like to see. / / *This is my first attempt at using Adobe Illustrator so all comments and critiques are very welcome. / / / / /
