We had a really big storm here this afternoon and I managed to capture a lightening bolt….. in IR….I told you I never take off the filter…lol This is looking out my backdoor. I had a 10sec exposure and an aperture of 5.0 – it’s a little dark…but the sky was actually really dark too so there wasn’t much light around and I know the composition is not brilliant…. but I’m still really pleased with it.

This Toyota concept vehicle was on display at the 2008 Melbourne International Motorshow. I went crazy with a flood filter and got rid of the people standing around it to create this image. The car is called the FT-H5 and is a hybrid electric concept, the car was also on display at the Chicago motorshow. Click here for my other photos of cars!

If I could offer one single piece of photography advice, it would be – “Take far more shots than you need. Make sure its ‘in the can’, instead of wishing you’d done things differently.” Looking back through my folders I found some ‘handy looking’ Infrared exposures I’d made of the cooling towers at Thorpe Marsh last summer… Lightly HDR’d to lose some of the flare and finished, without too much fuss, using a subtle blue tone.
